We've wrapped up the #IRTC25 conference! At last night's gala dinner, we were delighted by a surprise performance from the Geobanda, and before we knew it, half the participants were on their feet, dancing. This morning began with a recap of Day 1 by Urša Šolc, followed by informative poster speed presentations and an important keynote conversation on the impact of CRM policies, moderated by Luis A. Tercero Espinoza and featuring Kazuyuki Marukawa, Rod Eggert and Peter Handley. A special thank you to SQM Litio for sponsoring the lunch and poster prize and congratulations to the poster prize winner Ole Meyer! We we're proud to shine a spotlight on innovative European critical raw materials projects CIRCLETECH, RMR, GSEU - Geological Service for Europe, REPTiS, SCRREEN, BLOOM, CRM-geothermal, AfricaMcVal , Persephone, EuroTITAN and CIRAN. Looking forward to continuing discussions on critical raw materials beyond the conference!

We're more than halfway through #IRTC25! After a warm welcome from the local hosts and organizers, EIT RawMaterials CEO Bernd Schäfer underscored the urgent need for action on raw materials and emphasized the significance of the IRTC conference. The first two scientific sessions provided valuable insights into risk awareness and the management of environmental and social risks. Over lunch, Ian Lange delivered an insightful talk on forward-looking criticality in the US. And now, we're looking forward to engaging industry briefings and scientific sessions in the afternoon, followed by great conversations over a delicious gala dinner.

💡We're kicking off #IRTC25 with lots of interesting contributions! Marina von Vietinghoff-Scheel and Jair Santillán Saldivar from our Junior Board organized an engaging workshop delving into the intersection of the United Nations Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC) and the European Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA). A group of participants also enjoyed an exclusive tour of Magneti, the leading manufacturer of permanent metallic magnets. Engaging discussions were sparked over a delicious lunch, and now, we're gearing up for the opening panel discussion with Marko Maver, Ph.D., Vincent Gouley, Susanne Moser-Guntschnig, Yblin Roman Escobar, Andrés Ángel, Cecilia Mattea and Amrita Dasgupta, led by Alessandra Hool.

🙏🏼 A big thank you to Braeton Smith for his presentation at the IRTC Training in Ljubljana today. We had many highlights on the second day of the IRTC Training. Alessandra Hool explained the EU Critical Raw Materials Act. Luis A. Tercero Espinoza guided participants to calculate the Supply Risk Scores of critical raw materials themselves and Dieuwertje Schrijvers encouraged participants to form their own thoughts about criticality mitigation. 💡Interested in joining an IRTC Training in the future? https://lnkd.in/ej98xhnn
