Les Grandes Serres de Pantin: Bouygues Construction is revitalizing a former industrial site Bouygues Bâtiment Ile-de-France is leading the Grandes Serres de Pantin project, a major step in the urban transformation of this Greater Paris city. Located on the former Pouchard factory site, this 4-hectare redevelopment will include the rehabilitation of a historic hall and the construction of a new office building within a mixed campus. Once completed, it will become a dynamic 83,000 m² district. The project begins with two key developments entrusted to Bouygues Construction. The 12,000 m² Grande Halle will be transformed into a modern, multi-purpose space open to the public, hosting restaurants, offices, exhibition halls, the Philippe Jaroussky Music Academy, and a 300-seat auditorium. Alongside it, a new 9,900 m² office building will seamlessly integrate with the site’s architectural heritage. Sustainability is at the heart of this transformation, guided by Bouygues Construction’s “Archisobre” approach, which aims to reduce a building’s carbon footprint by three. The Brézillon teams, experts in pollution remediation, managed 25,000 m³ of excavated materials. Low-carbon concrete, wooden structures, 15 geothermal wells, and 650 m² of photovoltaic tiles will enhance energy efficiency. The reuse strategy will preserve existing facade bricks and repurpose crushed stone for the main hall’s sub-floor platform. Green spaces will span nearly two hectares, with 2,000 m³ of soil recycled into RevTer®️ fertile soil. The project also aims for multiple environmental and performance certifications, including RE2025, HQE Excellent, BREEAM Excellent, WELL Bronze, E+C- (E3/C1), and BIODIVERCITY Base. Beyond construction, Grandes Serres de Pantin will bring new life to the neighborhood. Positioned along the Canal de l'Ourcq, it will create a vibrant urban ecosystem with offices, restaurants, shops, artist studios, and coworking spaces. A new pedestrian bridge will directly connect the site to downtown Pantin and the Église de Pantin metro station. Transforming an industrial past into a sustainable and connected future.
