During this event, Winpak’s Winnipeg, Manitoba site was presented the Efficiency Manitoba Sustainability Award recognizing companies who are committed to making a difference through energy efficiency and reducing emissions, water use, and waste. Accepting the award on behalf of Winpak was Randy Zasitko, Winpak's Vice President of Supply Chain and Procurement, who proudly represented our company. Winpak is committed to contributing to a sustainable future. We embrace the principles of sustainable materials management and a #circulareconomy. Winpak will continue to incorporate energy-efficient technologies and find ways to eliminate waste and conserve energy in its products and processes. Winpak was honored to take the stage as a keynote presenter alongside National Research Council Canada / Conseil national de recherches Canada (NRC) at the Cultivate Sustainability Conference & Tradeshow in Winnipeg! Ash Andrews, #Winpak's Innovation & IP Subject Matter Expert, gave a wonderful presentation on how innovation and collaboration is driving sustainability forward by reducing waste, enhancing recyclability, and creating solutions that meet both environmental and product performance demands. 🎉 Proud moment for us here at Winpak today👏 Due to the incredible dedication of our team at Winpak Division (our Winnipeg site), we raised an outstanding $95,381 for the 2024 United Way Winnipeg campaign. ✨ $89,881 in employee donations through pledges ✨ $5,500 raised through raffles, 50/50 draws, a bake sale, and a prize wheel The best part is that 100% of all the funds raised will be going directly back to agencies in our community! To top it all off, at the campaign celebration dinner, Winpak Division was honored as one of the recipients of the Cornerstone Award for our achievement and engagement. This recognition reflects the dedication of our employees to giving back and making a real difference where it matters most.
