The World's First AI-Assisted Mineral Discovery Platform.
About us
VRIFY proves that AI in mineral exploration doesn’t have to be a black box. Building on our successful visualization tool, we launched DORA, the world’s only AI-Assisted Mineral Discovery Platform. DORA puts the power of AI into the hands of geoscientists, enabling them to find what others can’t. Backed by a $12.5M Series B raise and trusted by hundreds of clients, VRIFY is delivering results as we pioneer a new category and accelerate exploration with the industry’s most advanced AI and largest proprietary dataset.

RUA GOLD knows a thing or two about smarter exploration. Their team used DORA, our AI-Assisted Mineral Discovery Platform, to take on a massive challenge in the Reefton Goldfield in New Zealand: identify high-potential targets across a vast land package — faster, with less bias, and more confidence. 🔗 This case study is a must-read for anyone serious about modern mineral discovery: https://lnkd.in/gVVjCsdf

There’s no doubt that AI is making its way into mineral exploration but are mining and AI even a good cultural fit to begin with? Mining is cautious & conservative. AI is fast-moving, experimental, and thrives on iteration. That’s a cultural mismatch that could cause some troubles. Challenges: - Geos don’t want black boxes telling them where to drill - Old-school teams often resist change (especially from code they didn’t write) - AI outputs still need ground-truthing and truth-machine'ing (drilling) Opportunities: - Reduce bias in target selection - Help wrangle multi-source data (geochem, mag, structure) faster than any human - Optimize drill planning for season-related exploration programs *BUT: only if the people using it trust the output and integrate it properly. Below is a clip from my long-format conversation with Steve de Jong and Jean-Philippe Paiement of VRIFY where we discussed exactly that; are mining and AI a good culture fit. The full conversation can be viewed on the Resource Talks YouTube channel, and a written report can be viewed on our website. What am I missing here?

It’s a common misconception that code lacks creativity. Justin Liu is on a mission to prove just how imaginative and innovative data engineering can be. Born in an idyllic village in China’s Hubei province, Justin has always been passionate about understanding exactly how things work — and how to make them better. Merging this curiosity with his knack for problem solving, he earned a Bachelor of Computer Science in Beijing before moving to Oakville, Ontario in 2017. Since then, he’s focused on opportunities that merge the art and science of computing and AI, which is how he found VRIFY. “I love that I get to help build a creative AI data platform that brings geospatial data together to support our clients.” Digging deeper: • As a part of the Research & Development team, Justin supports the VRIFY data platform as a certified data engineer in both Google Cloud Platform Azure Cloud. • Having previously worked at NiesenIQ and Scotiabank, he’s had many opportunities to hone his skills in building scalable systems and leveraging cloud infrastructure. He loves when his day-to-day work is centred on pushing the boundaries of what technology can enable. At VRIFY’s, he’s particularly excited about the role artificial intelligence and machine learning play in transforming the mineral exploration industry. • It’s not surprising that Justin is an early adopter of technology. He uses ChatGPT and Cursor AI in his daily workflow to optimize his coding and design. He sees using these tools as a partner: “It’s like we’re working as a pair, programming together. It becomes super efficient, and allows me to be more creative.” • His passion for AI doesn’t stop there, either. Justin considers himself a true believer in Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and is eager to see how AGI will shape the next era of work and how it can unlock even more possibilities in his field. 🔗 To discover the art and science of mineral exploration, book a demo: https://lnkd.in/gK6QjVsP

If you look at the intersection of geology and coding, you’ll find Frances Jones, MSc. With a Masters in Geology from The University of British Columbia, where she focused on using ultramafic tailing to capture CO2, Frances brings her knowledge of geology to VRIFY each day. As a Junior Geologist, she works on ingesting and cleaning client data to set them up for success in using DORA, the world’s only AI-Assisted Mineral Discovery Platform. Frances thrives at the intersection of geology and software engineering, where she’s helping redefine how minerals are actively being found. Digging deeper: • From Northern BC and the Yukon, to California and Australia, Frances has spent time in the field conducting research and supporting exploration projects. • Before her exploration career, she spent 3 years tree planting — a job that sparked her love for the outdoors and ultimately led her to geology. • It’s clear Frances is passionate about data, too. After seeing just how much data exploration companies collect, and how little of it they actually use, she’s excited by the possibilities AI is surfacing. Having supported clients using VRIFY, she’s seen firsthand how tools like DORA are changing the game: “DORA gives geologists more power to look at all the data they have, helping them make better decisions.” • Frances is a big believer in AI and envisions that its impact will only continue to grow, noting that she thinks every single exploration company will be using AI — at least in some way — within the next few years. 🔗 Learn how the intersection of coding and geology can lead to your next game-changing discovery, book a demo: https://lnkd.in/gyEVXGEE

RUA GOLD is proving that with data and the right tech in the hands of geoscientists, discovery doesn’t have to wait. After wrapping drilling at the Victoria lode, RUA GOLD’s focus turned to the Gallant prospect — a high-grade gold system in the historic Cumberland gold camp and the first RUA GOLD drill target informed by DORA, VRIFY’s AI-Assisted Mineral Discovery Platform. Using over 84GB of data, DORA surfaced Gallant as a standout target. What would have taken geoscientists months of manual data review, took DORA just minutes, freeing up their exploration team to focus on finding their next game-changing discovery. Here’s to rewriting the rules of exploration.

Significant update from RUA GOLD out now. It highlights the identification of several new near-surface, high-grade targets a direct result of recent work and advanced targeting analysis. We have six upcoming holes planned to test shallow historical intercepts, targeting mineralization between 30m and 60m depth. Appreciation to the team and to VRIFY’s AI-enhanced platform for helping refine the focus. Full news release below.
