A wee bit of a story... We often get asked: "What does V6 mean?" No, it's not engine-related! V6 is a critical growth stage of corn when the roots are established and the growing point is above ground. If the plant's roots don't have the nutrients needed at V6, maximum plant growth, health, and yield won't be achieved. For us, V6 is the "prove it or perish" vegetative growth stage, and we wanted to prove it. Hence, V6 Agronomy! Back in 2011, we began to develop starter fertilizer programs made to best deliver key nutrients needed for the entire plant lifecycle. This led us to focus on precision compound fertilizer technology, that led to the creation of our flagship starter product ELEVEN Superstart™ in 2017. 🔬 Metabasalt Multi-year Field Trial 🔬 This Multi-year and multi-site trial will yield fascinating insights into how Enhanced Rock Weathering materials like meta basalt can influence the carbon and nitrogen cycles of our soils as well as plant and microbial health. Soil will be measured and monitored for C02 capture, N2O reductions, mineralization and effects on the microbial population. The ultimate goal is to identity opportunities to accelerate the addition of carbon to our system while agronomically enhancing crop health. V6 Agronomy

In November, we applied the first of a multi-year, multi-site Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) application of metabasalt to Canadian agricultural land in Eastern Ontario. Soil will be monitored and measured for CO2 capture and N2O reductions as well as soil remineralization and microbial health effects. We are pleased to be working with Trent University School of the Environment who will be analyzing samples.
