As the world looks to alternative energy sources, nuclear power is experiencing a resurgence. To help assist the energy transition in Saskatchewan, SRC Nuclear is working to bring a microreactor to the province. The team has been collaborating with Westinghouse Electric Canada for several years to learn more about their first-of-its-kind eVinci™ microreactor and its potential uses for Saskatchewan. This microreactor is essentially a nuclear battery that is transported to site and "plugged in" to produce power for a variety of crucial applications - from powering a mine site to providing reliable energy for off-grid and edge-of-grid communities. Want to learn more about microreactors and some potential applications for industry and communities? Read our latest story: https://src.nu/3EkekAG. #Nuclear #Microreactor #ScienceWithSRC

As the global shift to alternative energy sources and electric vehicles continues, there is an increasing demand for lithium batteries to store this energy. However, extracting lithium can be complicated and expensive since deposits are typically found in low concentrations and often have significant impurities. Enter SRC. Our team of leading experts provides a unique suite of services for all stages of lithium testing and process development. SRC's continuous-operation pilots plants can handle a variety of ore extraction methods and are able to be fine-tuned to provide more accurate data than typical pilot plants. Learn more by reading a recent article about our lithium processing capabilities in Canadian Mining Journal: https://src.nu/4lpNxUb. #Lithium #EnergyTransition #ScienceWithSRC
