This International Women’s Day, we celebrate and recognize the incredible women we have the privilege of working alongside. Whether leading teams, providing support, or fostering collaboration and community within our facility, your dedication, hard work, and guidance are truly invaluable. While progress has been made, women remain underrepresented in many industries, including STEM and chemical manufacturing. These fields have long faced gender imbalances, yet the perseverance, expertise, and leadership of women continues to drive meaningful progress. Representation matters—not only for those leading today but for the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and change makers who will follow in their footsteps. To the women-identifying folks in our network—thank you for your commitment, leadership, and the inspiration you bring to everything you do. Your work is shaping a more sustainable, inclusive, and innovative future. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2025 #WomenWhoLead #WomenInSTEM #WomenInChemistry #Innovation Steacy Coombs, PhD, Morgan Lehtinen, PhD, Cher Powers, Karleigh Young, Anh TranLy, Heather Crochetiere, Shawna Hamilton, Christine Gabardo P.S. Inspiring the next generation of innovators is at the heart of RXN HUB’s mission. Every member of our team can recall the pivotal moment when a mentor, event, or initiative sparked their passion for sustainability and innovation. That’s why we’re always eager to give back—because we know that one conversation, one speech, or one opportunity can ignite a lifelong journey. Last week, our Executive Director, Morgan Lehtinen, PhD, had the honour of delivering a keynote at CSE 2025, where she spoke to aspiring engineers about the role of sustainability in shaping the future. Hosted by the University of Guelph and the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students, CSE is a four-day conference dedicated to equipping engineering students with the tools to integrate real sustainability into their careers and everyday lives. This year’s theme, “The Impactful Engineer,” sparked insightful discussions on how engineers can drive meaningful change. As part of Day 2: Initiating a Brighter Future, Dr. Lehtinen took the stage with her keynote, “Sustainable Innovation – Tools for Change,” where she explored how an innovation ecosystem works and shared actionable strategies for building a toolkit for an impactful career. A huge shoutout to Alexa Bates and Rafael Saltos, the incredible co-chairs who curated such an engaging and well-organized conference! If these delegates represent the future of engineering, then we know the world is in good hands. #Sustainability #Innovation #Engineering #FutureLeaders

In a time of uncertainty and turbulence, it’s clear that innovation and collaboration will be the key to navigating these challenges. That’s why RXN HUB is thrilled to announce our partnership with the Canada Cleantech Alliance (CCTA) to help drive Canada’s cleantech sector forward. At the core of this effort is chemistry—the foundation of the technologies we depend on every day. From advanced materials and energy solutions to industrial commodities, chemistry-based innovations are critical to the cleantech revolution. This is why our partnership with the CCTA is so important. Together, we’re supporting chemistry-driven cleantech companies as they scale, manufacture, and deploy cutting-edge technologies that will support our domestic commercialization capacity and will have a meaningful impact across critical sectors. But this collaboration isn’t just about creating new solutions—it’s about addressing the challenges these companies face through advocacy, policy support, and strategic partnerships. We’re proud to be part of that future alongside the CCTA, helping shape a more sustainable tomorrow. #chemistry #scaleup #commercialization #collaboration #partnership #cleantech #chemtech #innovation #technologydevelopment
