Parkwest Projects Ltd. is delighted to share that we will be back in Ontario this year to complete the renovations to the arena at Kenora’s Moncrief Construction Sports Center! Construction is set to take place between the winter sport seasons and will consist of the demolition of existing rink slab and hockey boards, followed by replacements of the underfloor heating pipes, in-slab cooling pipes, new concrete slab, hockey dasher boards, and other modifications/upgrades as required. There’s a new face in the office, but not an unfamiliar one!   After 22 years working on site with Parkwest Projects, with 17 of those years being one of our most knowledgeable Site Superintendents, Chris Saley has officially made a move into the office as our Director - Field Operations. One of his responsibilities in this new role, amongst many others, is to support our up-and-coming site superintendents to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to run projects as they progress through their careers.   So far, Chris’ only complaint about moving from site to the office is that it’s too clean, and he needs "some mud on the floors and more coat hooks for his hardhats.”   We’re very excited to see Chris take on this new role, and can’t wait to see the further value he brings to the company and our future projects. With Women in Construction Week coming to an end, and International Women's Day tomorrow, we want to share our appreciation for the incredible contributions of women in the construction industry. Your contributions, resilience, and innovation continue to inspire and shape generations to come. We couldn't do it without you! In case you missed it, our clients, Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre's new project, the Indigenous Culture, Food, and Language Hub, was announced last week and featured across several news sources. The existing space on Notre Dame Ave is being renovated to serve as a “Social Supermarket” to address food insecurity in Winnipeg. Parkwest Projects is grateful to play a role in this important community initiative as the Construction Manager for the renovations. With pre-construction services now complete, we are excited to have recently started on site and are looking forward to bringing this community hub to life! https://lnkd.in/gMarVuNC

After 14 months at Red River College Polytech, we are pleased to share the completion of the Building A 4th Floor Renovation that converted the space into an Interdisciplinary Health and Community Services Simulation Center. Parkwest Projects kicked off the Thanksgiving Long Weekend soaking in the sun with Prairie Architects Inc. for a Barbeque out in Belair, MB! Parkwest has been collaborating with Prairie throughout the preconstruction and construction phases of the Clan Mothers Healing Village, and it was the perfect day to gather with their architects for some good food, building tours, and great company!
