    Sean Riley, ECD, McCann Health Canada | An IPG Health Company Although Canadian by birth, Sean’s fear of commitment has allowed him to work his way around the world - spending extended periods of time in the US, Australia and all over Asia. Living across so many cultures, Sean is a keen advocate of the power of ideas to transcend the lines on a map - but also of the necessity of incorporating local insights to form the immediate connections that radically move a brand. The power of this approach has seen Sean’s work recognised at Cannes, the One Show, LIA, Clio, D&AD and ARCHIVE. After more than 2 decades in health, his passion for creativity is unchanged. In fact he feels that with our new-found focus on individual health, the possibilities presented by AI, and the fact that every brand is now a health brand, there’s never been a more exciting time to be in this industry. After spending half of his life away, Sean returned to Canada in 2020 just in time for the pandemic. We’re not saying it’s his fault, but it was quite nice here before he came. Sean is really only good at one thing, and that is telling other people what to do. Fortunately that’s exactly what they let him do in his role as ECD of McCann Health Canada. It’s the perfect opportunity to put all those years of cultural immersion and understanding to use, to the benefit of global brands trying to make it big in Canada.
