Help Shape Calgary’s Accessibility Standards Did you know that The City of Calgary is updating our Access Design Standards? These standards ensure that City spaces are usable, functional, and accessible for everyone. This year, we’re updating the standards, and we’d like your input! Please take approximately 5–10 minutes to complete our survey and share your expertise. Your feedback will help shape how spaces like parks, transit stops, sidewalks, and buildings are designed to be accessible for all. What are the Access Design Standards (ADS)? The Access Design Standards are The City of Calgary’s requirements for creating accessible spaces and structures. They apply to City infrastructure under construction, including facilities, roads, sidewalks, pathways, parks, pedestrian crossings, bus stops, transit stations, and more.         Our goal is to ensure that all new City infrastructure—and renovations to existing spaces—follows accessible design principles, making them safe, functional, and convenient for everyone, including people with physical, sensory or cognitive disabilities.
