Enbridge Gas North Carolina & Ohio

Ohio knows economic development + jobs = more electricity. Luckily, the state knows it can rely on #Ohio’s plentiful #natural gas supplies. The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio recently published a news article outlining the importance of increasing natural gas #electric generation. We’ve been the silent partner in electric generation for many years – in Ohio, natural gas as a fuel source makes up 59.2% of all electric generation. Enbridge Gas is ready to provide more. https://lnkd.in/e3m4bgsz

  • It's "Test Your Brainpower Tuesday," a brand-new challenge designed to help you discover some interesting details about our North American natural gas operations. This poll features some big numbers, really big (and that's a hint for the correct answer). So, take some time, ponder, ask an energy-savvy friend, Google search and give us the right answer. Good luck! #EnbridgeGas #Pipelines #NorthAmerica

  • Horseback riding is a lifelong passion and a powerful source of healing for Kailey Christensen, Customer Relations Support Representative at Enbridge Gas in Utah. “Horses have been a special way of calming your nervous system and lowering your heart rate and blood pressure just by simply being around them,” Kailey said. April is Stress Awareness Month, a time to reflect on the ways we manage and relieve everyday pressures. Kailey has experienced the emotional benefits of spending time with her horses. Whether it’s riding through the mountains or brushing their manes, her connection with them has helped her navigate some of life’s hardest moments, including the sudden loss of her father.   “I rode my horses often in places him and I used to go riding. It was the only way I felt like I could connect with him again and relieve the stress, anxiety, and heartbreak. It was very healing for me.” Her connection with horses also brings back fond memories of childhood rides with friends to visit her grandmother, where breakfast was shared and stories were told. Today, Kailey continues to care for the horses that have been with her though every stage of her life. The daily rhythm of grooming, feeding, and simply being present with them remains a meaningful and restorative part of her routine. #StressAwarenessMonth #MentalWellness #FindingBalance #EnbridgeGas #Utah

“We, as the energy sector, believe that in the midst of all this uncertainty, there's a great opportunity before us and we can seize it if we act decisively, if we act together, and if we act now. We can ensure the energy security we enjoy in Canada today will be there tomorrow. We can maintain and strengthen the highly integrated energy system that we've built with our neighbours to the south, and we can make North America a secure, reliable, responsible supplier that the world can count on for its energy needs,” said Michele Harradence, EVP & President, Enbridge Gas, in her concluding keynote at CGA's Energy Security Summit. 🔗Watch the full keynote address here: https://lnkd.in/gBupPCax #CGA #CGAESS #EnergySecuritySummit #EnergySecurity #EnergyInnovation #FutureofEnergy #CanadianEnergy #NaturalGas #ReliableEnergy

Enbridge Gas North Carolina & Ohio

I want to acknowledge and thank our team in Western North Carolina as they have faced evolving wildfire and smoke conditions. We have been monitoring our system closely and worked with the forestry service and other partners. The multidisciplinary support and engagement across operations, engineering, transmission and other experts at Enbridge Gas has once again been incredible to see. I’m very proud of our team for working collaboratively and safely. #WNCstrong

We care about the communities we serve across Ontario. As a local partner in energy reliability, Enbridge Gas commends the work of Hydro One, Peterborough city crews and others who worked to restore power and keep communities safe following the ice storm. Also, kudos to our own operations team, who, despite facing personal challenges such as power outages and flooded basements in their homes, jumped in to help respond to the emergency in the area. A big thanks to Peterborough Mayor Jeff Leal, Councillor Kevin Duguay and city staff for their support and collaboration during the state of emergency, and for joining us Wednesday.

Just a few days after the City declared a state of emergency in response to a severe freezing rain storm that hit our region, Enbridge Gas Ontario arrived with free hot meals at our community warming centre at Miskin Law Community Complex. “Thank you to Enbridge Gas for stepping up to support our community. Peterborough residents have been dealing with extended power outages, damage from the ice storm, and disruption in their lives. Providing a free, hot meal is a nice way to give a bit of relief to residents during this difficult time,” Mayor Jeff Leal said. Community partners, including the Salvation Army, have been providing food at the Healthy Planet Arena warming centre location at 911 Monaghan Rd. this week to assist those in need of a meal. https://lnkd.in/e-aGGYTM #CommunitySupport #TeamPtbo #GivingBack #OnStorm

Ontario's Minister of Energy and Mines

Canada has the top 10 largest natural gas reserves on earth. A lifeline that affordably heats 7/10 Ontario homes. At the Canadian Gas Association Energy Security Summit, I made clear that Canada must seize this moment to extract, process, and export our democratically sourced resources to the world — from critical minerals to LNG to nuclear tech. We must put an end to importing resources from unreliable trading partners and human rights abusing regimes, and put Canadian workers first. Michele Harradence | Enbridge Gas
