Debrand reposted this
Each year, 100 billion garments are produced, overwhelming the planet with millions of tons of waste. Modern day textiles are incredibly diverse, made of complex blends and embellished designs which pose significant challenges for reuse and recycling. Amelia Eleiter will be joining the #TextilesTrack at #CCES2025 to explore the root of the issue: identifying what garments are made of and how they’re constructed. By solving this “identity crisis” through innovation and collaboration, we can unlock circular solutions and pave the way for a sustainable future in the apparel, fashion, and textile space.

Today, we’re welcoming an intimate group of thought leaders from across Canada, the U.S., and Europe—spanning brands, service and solution providers, policy advocates, and industry organizations—all working toward a shared goal of advancing North America’s circular textile ecosystem. Over the next two days, we’ll be fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and connection, strengthening relationships with each other and with the environment we’re all striving to protect. Through honest and candid conversations, behind-the-scenes tours, and hands-on workshops, our goal for the Summit is to spark the insights and actions needed to shape the future of textile circularity and sustainability. Big systemic change happens when we build together, and we look forward to continuing the dialogue and sharing key outcomes with you from Basecamp Summit 2025 in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more. #BasecampSummit #Debrand #Textile #Circularity #Sustainability

In honor of International Women's Day tomorrow, we’re celebrating the women driving fashion’s sustainable future. A decade ago, sustainability leadership was a space where women’s contributions were often overlooked. Today, that’s changing—63% of executive roles in sustainability are now held by women. From pioneering circular economy solutions to leading corporate ESG strategies, women are shaping a more responsible future for fashion. At Debrand, this isn’t just a trend—it’s who we are. As a female-led company with equitable female representation across our leadership and wider team, we are proud to be part of an industry that leads the pack for gender equality. While there’s still work to be done, we take action every day to create a more inclusive, sustainable future through our business and values. #AccelerateAction #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInSustainability #CircularFashion
