A quick #EventRecap: Great Minds and Big Ideas in Atlantic Canada! Thank you to everyone who joined us for two engaging events in Fredericton and Halifax, where we had the privilege of learning from MindFrame Connect co-founder, Brice Scheschuk, on the importance of multiple capital paths. Brice explored key topics around fundraising, including when venture capital makes sense, the rise of outlier founders, and the concept of the "Mighty Middle" – businesses that sit between venture capital and lifestyle businesses. He also shared valuable insights on alternative funding paths for entrepreneurs. It was an incredible opportunity to teach and engage with local innovators, sparking meaningful discussions about growth, funding, and the future of business in Atlantic Canada. ✨ Just wrapped up 7 incredible weeks with the Collide Discover program! Thank you to Dal Innovates for holding such a supportive and inspiring space for future entrepreneurs to connect, grow, and develop the soft skills that truly matter. Throughout the program, I explored the foundations of entrepreneurship—from design thinking and customer discovery to business model canvassing and crafting compelling pitches. I’m especially grateful for the chance to sharpen my pitching and product development skills. I'm looking to understand more in the startup industry and this event has taught me so much. Most importantly, I met some truly inspiring and kind souls—both speakers and fellow participants—who made the journey even more meaningful.
