The 25th annual Kingston Canadian Film Festival (KCFF) came to a sentimental close on March 2 with the premiere of "Blue Rodeo: Lost Together" at the Kingston Grand Theatre. Produced by Cream Productions, the film is more than a documentary. Director Dale Heslip captures a celebration of their 40 years of friendship, heartbreak, and music, taking the audience through their journey to becoming one of Canada’s most beloved bands. Lead singers Greg Keelor and Jim Cuddy were among the crowd and, after the film, joined moderator Talia Schlanger on stage for a Q&A.

While the story made headlines across the U.S. and even inspired a made-for-TV movie, the infamous 1991 case of a murder-for-hire plot concocted by a Texas woman to eliminate her daughter’s cheerleading rival remains shrouded in mystery. Thirty years after Wanda Holloway’s conviction, "The Texas Cheerleader Murder Plot" examines what led to the events, and the aftermath. Watch the two-hour true crime event Wednesday, December 18 at 9/8c on Investigation Discovery and streaming next day on HBO Max.

Cream Productions reposted this
I am very proud to share our latest documentary about one of Canada's iconic bands, Blue Rodeo. “Blue Rodeo: Lost Together” is an engaging dive into the world of one of Canada’s most beloved bands. With the unmistakable voices of Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor guiding the way, this documentary blends humour, honesty, and heart to tell the story of their incredible 40-year journey. As Blue Rodeo continues to hit new creative highs, “Lost Together” takes you behind the scenes of their extraordinary adventure. The film will have it's world premiere at the Whistler Film Festival on Friday, December 6. Greg Keelor and Jim Cuddy will be in attendance (me too) for a Q&A at the screening. Please join if you can. Tickets can be found at https://lnkd.in/grVBnXc7 It will appear in theatres across the country in the New Year as well! Huge thanks to our partners at CBC Doc Channel, Rogers Doc Fund, CMF, Ontario Creates and Blue Ice Docs.
