In the early portions of Albert Mansour's pitch for his company ConeLabs (Techstars '23) (as part of our 2025 AI/ML Conference Demo Day), he presented some pretty compelling stats: 40% of infrastructure is fair or worse condition; 80% of structures are over 20 years old; and we experience seven structural failures each day. Then he offered a solution to help improve those numbers. ConeLabs is an engineering-grade inspection platform that promises efficiency without sacrificing accuracy, allowing companies to catch more errors with less work. Leveraging proprietary 3D imaging and AI technology, Albert, who co-founded the company alongside CTO Ahmed M., pitched a vision to "cut inspection time and costs by more than 50%." It's an ambitious goal, but one Albert and his team consider attainable. Do you? Como parte de nuestro compromiso con la implementación de nuevas tecnologías, estamos muy orgullosos de anunciar el inicio de la colaboración de REHABTEC S.A.S. con ConeLabs (Techstars '23) para la aplicación de Inteligencia Artificial en el campo de inspección de estructuras en #Colombia.   Mediante la elaboración de modelos 3D a partir de levantamientos fotogramétricos, la aplicación de esta tecnología permite la detección y cuantificación de patologías en las estructuras con una precisión no posible con las metodologías tradicionales de inspección. Su aplicación tanto en el campo de la ingeniería civil como de la edificación es sin duda un salto cualitativo que marca el futuro de este tipo de proyectos, permitiendo un mayor conocimiento del estado actual de las estructuras y la optimización de las actuaciones a llevar a cabo para garantizar su seguridad y la de los usuarios de las mismas.
