What an amazing moment at CPMA! Had the honour of posing with the Grey Cup and Winnipeg Blue Bombers #6, Redha Kramdi—a true champion on and off the field. Big thanks to Peak of the Market Ltd. for bringing this energy to the show floor. 🍎💡Day 2 of CPMA Fresh Week 2025 was an unforgettable day filled with fresh perspectives, meaningful conversations, and some serious industry insight! We started the morning with an engaging breakfast and keynote from Geoff Molson, Owner, President, and CEO of Groupe CH, which set the tone for thoughtful discussions throughout the day. During the business sessions, attendees explored topics such as how AI can enhance marketing, operations, and more, with insights from Avery Swartz. CPMA's Ron Lemaire and John Stackhouse of RBC also shared their perspectives on trade and market trends within the North American economy. At lunchtime, Tina Lee, CEO of T & T Supermarket, delivered a standout talk that sparked plenty of conversation. The Trade Show officially opened in the afternoon at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, showcasing innovation from hundreds of companies across the fresh produce world. From creative displays to smart solutions, it was a feast for the senses—and the mind! The Learning Lounge featured dynamic panels that delivered fresh perspectives on the evolving landscape of sustainability and the importance of cultivating public trust. Later, the Women in Produce and Young Professionals receptions created perfect moments to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the people shaping the future of our industry. The After Party, sponsored by Canadawide, was the perfect cherry on top to end the night! Here’s to keeping the momentum going for Day 3! #CPMA2025 #CPMA100 #InnovationInProduce #FreshProduce

From Scarcity to Precarity: Rethinking the Consumer Mindset At #CPMA2025, we were thrilled to welcome 📊 David Coletto 🌎 of @Abacus Data for a powerful and thought-provoking session exploring a shift many of us feel but haven’t yet fully defined — the move from a scarcity mindset to a precarity mindset. David unpacked what this means for Canadians and how it’s reshaping behaviour, trust, and priorities in a world where uncertainty is the norm. For those of us in the fresh produce industry and beyond, his insights were a timely reminder: our strategies must evolve to reflect a new consumer reality — one where confidence is fragile and security feels out of reach. A huge thank you to David for challenging us to think differently and preparing us to lead with resilience, and understanding. #FreshThinking #ConsumerInsights #Leadership #ProduceIndustry #CPMA #DavidColetto #AbacusData #MindsetShift Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA)
