What an eventful Spring it has already been, our visit to Mosaic Insurance in Bermuda was incredibly interesting, I couldn't be more grateful to Mark Wheeler and the whole staff for their generosity with their time.

NEW EPISODE: No. 135: D&O Insurance. This is the third episode in a row that falls within the category of should-really-have-dealt-with-this-years-ago. But better late than never. Our guest this week on #InsuranceCovered is Natalie Graham, Global Head of Claims at Mosaic Insurance and we are discussing the nuts and bolts of D&O insurance. D&O insurance stands for Directors and Officers Insurance. As an aside, the accepted practice seems to be to write it with apostrophes - Directors' and Officers' Insurance. My gut feeling is that it shouldn't, but I seem to be in a minority on this one. Ah well. Anyway, this is a superb episode. Natalie and I discuss: - What is D&O insurance? Who are directors and officers and is this definition still relevant? - How can directors and officers be personally liable? Looking ahead to Year 5 and plans for US expansion, more capital partnerships, and profitable growth via our distinctive market model. Thanks to The Insurer TV for an insightful interview with our Co-CEO Mitch Blaser as we officially opened our new London office this month.

The pièce de résistance of our new London office may be the striking artwork hanging in reception to greet colleagues and guests as they step off the elevators. It tells a meaningful story about Mosaic that's both visual + symbolic. The painting depicts a massive multi-colored orb over city landmarks—a fantastic globe reflecting our worldwide company. The eight structures beneath represent Mosaic's offices: in Toronto (CN Tower), London (Lloyd's), Dubai (Burj Al Arab), Chicago (Cloud Gate), Singapore (Marina Bay Sands), Bermuda (House of Assembly), Cologne (Dom), and New York (Empire State Building). Yet the creation of the large acrylic on canvas is greater than the sum of its (many) pieces. The composition was sketched by Emma Read of MAKE YOUR MARK EVENTS LIMITED and each sliver of the globe was then painted in a panoply of styles by Mosaic employees during a team-building evening last fall. Co-CEO Mitch Blaser added the final touch just in time for its big reveal on our recent opening day at 33 Gracechurch Street. Thank you, Emma, & all our creative colleagues, for a standout reminder of the bold, collaborative fun that speaks to the art of what we do every day.
