Last Friday, we had a great time hosting our 6th Brussels Esports Seminar within the framework of the VUB Expert Class Seminars in Esports Management. Together with 40 other enthusiasts we explored the fascinating world of "Esports, Gaming & VR in Artificial Intelligence." The event began with some warm welcome messages from: 👉 Jos Verschueren (Program Director Sports, Esports & Cycling Management @ VUB) 👉 Guy Bisschops (Maître d'Hôtel @ University Foundation) 👉 Prof. Dr. Evert Zinzen (Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy @ VUB) 👉 Samy BESSI (VP Belgian Esports Federation and Board Member Global Esports Federation) We then kicked off the seminar with Hans De Canck (VUB), who provided insights into the FARI (AI for the Common Good) project and introduced the role of AI in Esports. Matthew Watson delved deeper into Esports coaching, highlighting the potential of AI and human programs working together to enhance the coaching experience. Jack J Williams from Itero.gg followed with a compelling case study from his company, showcasing effective AI coaching models and approaches. Marc Sarens from VUB presented an engaging video on v.i.b.e.s (virtual reality sports interaction between European schools), offering a glimpse into our future world. The seminar concluded with Jelle Demanet from XR Valley, who shared insights on XR (Extended Reality) and its implementations, wrapping up with case studies from HOWEST. A big thank you to all our speakers and attendees for making this event a success! Let us continue to explore and innovate in the dynamic realms of Esports, Gaming, VR and AI. 💡🌐 #Esports #Gaming #VR #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #EsportsSeminar #Innovation #TechInSports #VirtualReality #ExtendedReality #AIInEsports #VUB #FacLK #EsportSeminar BESF - BELGIAN ESPORTS FEDERATION | The National Lottery | Jarne Rainaud | Laura Lietaert
