Trasis on a mission! 🚀 Trasis was proud to take part in the nuclear medicine trade mission that took place in Indianapolis and Toronto, alongside other Walloon companies. 💪 This initiative aimed to strengthen ties between the Walloon ecosystem and the North American hub , highlighting our globally recognized expertise in nuclear medicine. One in three hospitals worldwide with a nuclear medicine department uses Belgian technology, as AWEX proudly points out. This technology first appeared in our hospitals in the 1940s, and Belgium established itself as a global leader in the 1990s. With this unique know-how, Wallonia—alongside key players like Trasis—continues to drive significant advancements in oncology, neurology, and cardiology.

Theranostics is a revolutionary approach in nuclear medicine that combines diagnostics and therapeutics to provide personalized treatment options. It involves the use of radiopharmaceuticals, which are injected into a patient to visualize and comprehensively map cancerous cells throughout the body. This diagnostic step is then seamlessly integrated with a therapeutic approach, where the same radiopharmaceuticals specifically accumulate in cancer cells, delivering targeted radiation directly to the source of the disease. ✅ 𝗔 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: by targeting cancer cells directly, it minimizes damage to healthy tissues, reducing side effects. ✅ 𝗔 𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵: the theranostic approach is tailored to each patient, ensuring optimized diagnostics and treatments. ✅ 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: this approach has contributed to a significant increase in survival rates for certain cancers, such as neuroendocrine tumors, where the five-year survival rate has risen from 20% to approximately 80%.
