Short but intense, that summarizes pretty much my passage at #noco11 in Estes Park. Great feedback on my presentation, mostly feeling inspired by our #holistic #vision and how that can allow to scale the sector. Some people connected and are interested to roll out some of our work here in the US. Also had a couple of initial talks on #strategic #partnerships across the globe. These are extremely important to lay the puzzle of #circular #hubs Satisfied and energised I’m crossing the Atlantic to continue our journey. But first some relaxing moments enjoying nature. In the end that is what it is all about, leaving it in a state that future generations can enjoy it as much as we can! That is the #legacy we strive for every day at C-biotech and Earth Plus

Last week, I had the opportunity to pitch to Dutch impact investors at the Leaders xCHANGE Impact Fair NL. What an exciting experience!   More than 400 leaders gathered to explore how we can move from wanting to do good to actually doing it. In the Netherlands, there is a broad support among Dutch citizens to build a better future. And this event is about turning that energy into real, measurable impact. No fluff, no empty metrics — just real conversations with CEOs, board chairs and decision-makers committed to embedding purpose into their business.   Grateful for the chance to share our mission at Earth Plus and C-biotech. We aim to create the largest soil and CO2 cleanup in the world with the power of plants, whilst transforming construction from a big carbon emitter to a big carbon sink. 🔍 Biochar for a carbon-negative future! In the face of increasing climate challenges, the need for scalable and cost-effective carbon capture solutions has never been greater. Emerging research highlights the potential of biochar — a carbon-rich material derived from biomass — as a powerful tool for carbon capture and climate mitigation. 🔬 Key findings from the research: - High adsorption efficiency: Activated biochar from biomass has excellent CO₂ binding. - Sustainable & circular: Biochar is made from biomass waste and transforms agricultural residues into a valuable solution for the climate. -Long-term carbon storage: Due to its stability, biochar can bind CO₂ for centuries and, thus, contribute to strategies for negative emissions. - Multifunctionality: Beyond carbon sequestration, biochar improves soil health, water retention and microbial activity, making it an important tool for land regeneration. 🌎 The scaling of nature-based solutions At a time when industry is looking for carbon-negative technologies, integrating biochar into regenerative agriculture, reforestation and bio-based materials is a win-win for the economy and the environment.
