• 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂! We’re excited to share some highlights from MobiliseYourCity’s participation in the Africa Transport Policy Program (SSATP) Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025, concretely during the capacity building panel of the second SSATP pillar: urban mobility.    𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: 🔹 Learning by doing: Through the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) technical assistance, our Implementing Partners support cities in completing the planning process for urban mobility, which contributes to equipping the local staff with related skills. 🔹 Capitalising on knowledge: MobiliseYourCity Tools, methodologies, and trainings are developed based on lessons learned from actual projects on the ground. This allows continued knowledge production beyond the project duration.  🔹 The power of community: In-person meetings foster peer exchange and build strong practitioner networks across cities facing similar mobility challenges.   It was also a pleasure to meet our donors and esteemed colleagues from the European Commission (DG INTPA.F.4)- They used the valuable occasion of the SSATP AGM to discuss the strategic importance of Africa in global supply chains, the EU’s role in international cooperation, the critical contribution of the private sector, and the urgency of integrating climate resilience into transport infrastructure - all key topics for the MobiliseYourCity Partnership.   🌍 One of the most rewarding moments? Connecting with 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀—including Douala, Abidjan, Kumasi, Antananarivo, and Nairobi—who all emphasised 𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗣𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲.   Looking forward to continuing this momentum and connecting with you all in the upcoming events 👉 https://bit.ly/4hRZzmd

  • 🌍 Air pollution is a global crisis—but international action remains fragmented. Every year, approximately 7 million people die as a result of air pollution. However, its impacts are not felt equally. 📰 Read the latest Human Rights Watch article to understand why stronger international cooperation is essential to address this crisis 👉 https://lnkd.in/eDwPUTPK 📍Government officials, health experts, civil society, and local leaders are now gathering in Cartagena, Colombia, for the Second Global Conference on Air Pollution and Health, hosted by the World Health Organization (WHO). 📢 The WHO has launched a Call for Clean Air Action—an urgent appeal to reduce air pollution and protect health worldwide. ✍️ Show your support and sign it here: https://lnkd.in/eZEctwwr Let’s elevate air quality on the global agenda and push for climate action that prioritizes health, equity, and justice.

  • To secure your spot at #TUMI2025, register by May 4, 2025! See you in Leipzig🤝

📢 You are invited to the #TUMI2025 Conference! Our TUMI 2025 Conference will bring together leading experts, high-level government officials, development bank representatives, academics, and civil society members to explore strategies for making urban mobility more resilient and inclusive. Building on the theme "Towards Resilient and Inclusive Mobility in Our Cities", the event will take a comprehensive look at the term of resilience; focusing in on three main themes: ● Infrastructure: How can cities prepare their transport systems against forseeable (climate change) and unforseen challenges (energy or economic crisis)?   ● Governance: What can local (transport) authorities do to prepare for, react to and successfully manage different types of crisis or desaster? How can they leverage climate adaptation finance?   ● Society: How can we ensure that all communities and population groups benefit from (more) resilient transport systems?     After a full conference day focusing on resilience, the TUMI2025 conference will conclude with a celebration of the TUMI E-Bus Mission. As the TUMI E-Bus Mission is coming to an end, we take the time to reflect on the project's impact and future direction. Celebrate, network and discuss with us at the reception! 🔗Sign-up for the conference here: https://lnkd.in/eFWu5qtT #TUMI2025
