    Connecting new ventures with corporates

It was great to be at Aquatech this week to show off my new egg head look 🥚 … actually it was to speak about the top emerging technologies in Digital Water - check out below for my nominations and who the crowd voted for: I wanted to pick people that were doing something differently and changing some of the long held paradigms or standard practices we have in the industry. I picked the following companies - let me know if you think there's someone missing! In no particular order: Transcend - for automating conceptual design of WWTW Continuum Industries - for automating pipeline design optioneering Kando - for identifying industrial pollution into the sewer network… but more interestingly as a leading indicator to optimise WWTW operation before a toxic shock event StormHarvester - for having, probably, the largest training dataset on wastewater networks UnifAI Technology - identifying water quality risks in open water bodies from simple/cheap to measure parameters (e.g. temp / pH etc.) HULO.ai - for building algorithms for leakage detection that do not depend on DMAs Maia - Their Wallace solution is one of the most viewed technologies on Isle Utilities' technology portal that brings LLM models to plant digital twins AM-Team pharma and process industry - for bringing together ML and mechanistic models into their solutions Seal Water Technology Ltd- for using (tiny) shockwaves rather than acoustic waves to correlate leaks over large distances Finapp - for using cosmic radiation to identify water leaks Atmos International - for identifying the creation of new leaks on strategic pipes   Special mention was to the following for their approach to digital innovation management: Additive Catchments - for bringing together giant delivery collaboration around their digital offerings to enable them offer catchment management as a service Veolia - for exploring integrations with Mistral AI… if you're an operator, imagine your boss interacting with a WWTW without your guidance!! Stream: Unlocking Water Data - for leading by example on open data practices   Congratulations to UnifAI, the audience voted for you as the most interesting company from the list! The people's choice! With that in mind, another mention should also go to Liquisens who presented at our industrial technology forum and utilise a similar modelling philosophy to provide real time water quality insights on WWTW and real estate applications. We also spoke about the great solutions helping to automate data quality management such as Timeseer.AI and InfoTiles Digital Water.   Did you feel there was anyone important I've missed - there's so many I would have loved to have included - let me know!
