Hemp4Circularity
Textile Manufacturing
Innovative, local, biobased ecological fibre in the textile value chain of N-W Europe. Support of ERDF and Wallonia.
About us
Hemp4Circularity is an Interreg NWE project that aims to implement an innovative, local and biobased ecological fibre - the long fibre hemp - in the textile value chain of North-West Europe, from growers to weavers/knitters, from field to fashion. The project sets up pilot actions at several stages of the value chain (cultivating, primary processing, data-driven farming, spinning, fabric production) to optimize all stages of the production, in order to be durably implemented, from fiber to recycling solutions. With this project, from field to recycled fibre, hemp is a driver of circularity in the textile industry ! The project aims to bring opportunities to: Farmers, by implementing a profitable crop with a positive impact The flax sector, with a complementary fibre in order to enlarge the possibilities of this sector. The textile industry in general and the brands, in demand for local and sustainable materials The end-users, also in demand for local and sustainable textile and information about natural fibres available. 11 partners work together : - Valbiom (BE) - Inagro (BE) - Lin et Chanvre Bio (FR) - HOGENT (BE) - Hyler (BE) - Van de Bilt seeds and flax (NL) - Safilin (FR) - Libeco (BE) - Delphy (NL) - Alliance for European Flax-Linen & Hemp (FR) - Natuvalis (DE)

🚀 Hemp4Circularity featured at JEC World 2025 ! 🌿🏗️ The RAW project is making waves at JEC World 2025, highlighting the potential of #hemp long fibers in structural applications. While #flax has paved the way in composites, it's time for hemp to take the stage! At the Natural Fiber Village, key stakeholders discussed the latest innovations in biosourced materials, with Hemp4Circularity contributing to the conversation on sustainable construction solutions. Excited to see hemp gaining recognition in the industry! Stay tuned for more updates. #HempInnovation #SustainableMaterials #EcoFriendly #StructuralApplications
"Bringing Long Hemp Fibers into Structural Applications" RAW project on tour at JEC World 2025 in Paris. We're thrilled to announce our latest venture into the world of sustainable materials. While flax has traditionally dominated the scene, it's also time for hemp to shine! 🌟 Europe's ecosystem is bustling with flax processors who have mastered their craft in the textile industry, bringing it into flax based composite technologies. Inspired by their success, we are now pioneering similar innovations—but with hemp, for the construction sector. Our project is set to transform the structural applications of this versatile plant. 👀 What's New? While the textile sector has seen some advancements with long fiber hemp yarns, we are taking a leap forward by introducing hemp long fiber rovings, positioning ourselves as pioneers in this exciting field. At the fair, we had the opportunity to talk to the most important steakholders at the Natural Fiber Village in order to take our projects a relevant step further. 🌿 Getting together to drive forward #hemp for #textile 🌿 Twice a year, the partners of the Interreg North-West Europe (NWE) Hemp4Circularity project meet face-to-face. Of course, we meet much more often by videoconference! 🤝 These face-to-face meetings are an opportunity to make progress on blocking points, take decisions and define action plans and, above all, to disseminate information to each of the partners. Here's a short debrief of the last meeting in December 🔗👇 https://lnkd.in/dV3Ey696
