We’re excited to share the results of the EU BIM Task Group’s 2024 industry survey, recently completed under the leadership of our co-chair, Dmitrijs Kots. The findings highlight the continued growth and maturity of BIM across Europe, especially within the public sector. Key insights include: 👉 Diverse BIM Adoption Levels: The survey reveals varying stages of BIM implementation across European public sector organizations, highlighting the need for tailored strategies to support digital transformation. 👉Mainstreaming of BIM in Public Projects: The survey highlights that BIM is increasingly recognized as a critical tool for delivering better public assets and infrastructure. Over 70% of respondents acknowledged its role in enhancing project quality and lifecycle management. 👉Demand for Knowledge Sharing: There is a strong call for platforms that facilitate the exchange of best practices, guidelines, and collaborative opportunities to enhance BIM capabilities within the public sector. 👉Collaboration as a Success Factor: The survey revealed that collaboration between public entities, industry stakeholders, and academia is a key factor in successful BIM adoption. Knowledge-sharing platforms and joint initiatives can accelerate progress. You can find the complete survey report here: https://lnkd.in/dkHPB-a7 If you’re a public sector representative passionate about BIM and eager to help shape Europe’s digital construction landscape, we invite you to join our network. Together, we can drive greater standardization, interoperability, and innovation in BIM for the benefit of all stakeholders. #BIM #DigitalConstruction #Collaboration #PublicSector #Sustainability

VIII. sharing experience workshop - Budapest We recently concluded this year's cycle of knowledge-sharing workshops in cooperation with Hungarian colleagues from KTI and ÉMI Nonprofit Kft. - Tibor SEIDL, MBA and Lajos Vass, which EU BIM Task Group has been organizing for its active members since spring 2023. This time on the topic of Practical Experiences in BIM Implementation and Education at the Level of Public Sector Organizations. You can look forward to a clear SWOT analysis on this topic and some common findings and conclusions. As usual, I believe that before Christmas you will find the output in the form of a PDF leaflet on our website. As a EU BIM Task Group former co-chair Jaroslav Nechyba, I would like to extend this time the post for a little personal review. We have already strung 8 such beads on a chain in the form of full-day workshops starting in Dublin, followed by Prague, Rome, Strasbourg, Nice, Athens, Šibenik and now this one in Budapest. Over 200 participants have visited the workshops during that time, and we have built an interesting community of experienced and open-minded people who perceive the value of sharing knowledge and experience as an essential ingredient of personal growth and benefit for their organization. It was a personal honor and joy for me to initiate this journey at the beginning, to help ensure its organization and implementation for two years with the significant support of the Ministerstvo průmyslu a obchodu České republiky, without which this activity with my personal participation would not have come about. Already Christopher Raitviir from Estonia is preparing the ninth worshop at the beginning of next year, and I believe that further opportunities for the entire year 2025 will soon be added. We look forward to a large participation and an interesting time enriching your journey towards the goal of simply making BIM a natural part of everyday’s working life instead of promoting it. Stay tuned, you will receive the details soon.

EU BIM Task Group reposted this
🇪🇺 It was a pleasure to lead the 2024 General Assembly of the EU BIM Task Group together with co-chair Milena Feustel EU BIM Task Group #openBIM is the “talk of the town” in public procurement as we discussed BIM topics with a great mix of public clients and policy makers across Europe 🎤 We had excellent guest speakers like Thomas Liebich talking about ISO/CEN and bSi standards, Christophe Sykes about CPR and construction products, Aidan Mercer about developments at buildingSMART International, Anna Moreno about the establishment of the EU openBIM Forum and Anette Persson about EPBD implications. Ofcourse we also had contributions from our own EUBTG members Jaroslav Nechyba on workshops and Dmitrijs Kots about the EUBTG survey results. Lots of country updates as well! 🇦🇹🇭🇷🇨🇿🇪🇪🇩🇪🇫🇮🇫🇷🇬🇷🇭🇺🇮🇪🇮🇹🇸🇮🇸🇰🇺🇦 Stay tuned on the EU BIM Task Group website for updates and shared slides. Special thanks to Christian Schlosser and the German Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport for hosting us in their wonderful venue. P.S. This was also my last meeting as the chair of EUBTG since I’m no longer representing a public organization. I hope to be invovled with this great group of enthusiastic people in one form or another. P.P.S. But the good news is that in my role at Future Insight Group I can now help other governments and organizations to implement BIM in an agile way on a practical level. So, let’s talk 😎🤙

Workshop in Athens - the role of the human factor in the BIM implementation Another valuable and exciting day was spent in the fantastic environment where our civilization has significantly developed #Greece. It was fascinating to see thousands of years-old buildings out of the window and discuss with knowledgeable colleagues how to convince people of the change needed. I want you to know that you can look forward to the publication soon of people's practical experiences of the barriers they encounter in their BIM implementation journey and their views on how to remove or, ideally, prevent them. Thanks, Liana Anagnostaki and the Technical Chamber of Greece, for hosting our event perfectly. #EUBIMTaskGroup #BIM #DigitalTransformation
