Welcome to the Team, Karen De Vlaminck! 🎉 📢 We’re thrilled to introduce the newest member of the 4Tissue team, Karen, who joined us as a Scientific Researcher in QA/RA. Karen is a bioengineer and immunologist with a PhD in Bioengineering and Immunology, specializing in myeloid cells such as microglia and macrophages in brain diseases. Her doctoral research, which focused on how brain-resident and recruited macrophages respond to brain-invasive infections and aggressive brain tumors, has contributed significantly to our understanding of these areas. We’re excited to see her apply her expertise and bring her innovative insights to 4Tissue’s cutting-edge projects. 🤝 Karen’s journey to 4Tissue has been driven by her desire to make a real difference in patients’ lives. She was immediately drawn to our mission, as it perfectly aligns with her passion for improving patient outcomes. The team’s enthusiasm, innovative mindset, and infectious energy captivated her right away. Karen is eager to work within a dynamic start-up where she can grow, contribute, and make a tangible impact on a daily basis. She truly believes in 4Tissue’s mission to revolutionize breast reconstruction, and we're thrilled to have her join us in this pursuit. 🚀 With a solid background in research and hands-on experience as a QA compliance expert in the pharmaceutical industry, Karen brings a wealth of knowledge to this multidisciplinary role.
