Our Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme has been featured in The Guardian!   The DVDS, which we run in partnership with South Australia Police, provides a way for people who may be at risk of domestic violence to obtain information about their partner or former partner, to help make decisions about their safety and the future of the relationship.   Following stellar findings by a recent independent review of the Scheme, we’re thrilled about this opportunity for more people to learn about this important safety support tool.

It’s International Women’s Day!   This year’s theme, "For ALL women and girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment", reminds us of the critical importance of inclusivity when it comes to IWD.   It’s also the third year of Pureprofile's survey on International Women's Day representation, highlighting the evolution of diversity in representation on International Women's Day, and the need to continue pushing for greater inclusion.   Read more about the survey via the link below:

Wonderful news as 2024 draws to a close: the Malinauskas government has announced close to $1 million dollars in additional funding for our Domestic Violence Crisis Line (DVCL) and Personal Protection App.   This funding will enable us to hire more domestic violence specialists to staff the 24/7 DVCL, and is a welcome relief in the face of continued growth in demand for this service.   Peter Malinauskas Katrine Hildyard MP   More info via the link: https://lnkd.in/gRMgvbzh
