To round out our Behind the Bikkies x International Women's Day series, meet Baoanh Spezza (Bo), General Manager of Supply Chain and Operations at our Good Food Partners business. For Bo, nutritious home-cooked food was central to her upbringing and sparked her love for the food industry. After studying Food Science, Bo spent a decade in quality assurance before transitioning to operations, inspired by a female General Manager of Operations.  “When the CEO asked me to backfill her role during her leave, I was excited but terrified of failing. My mentor told me the worst that could happen was gaining experience and exposure. That perspective changed everything.” Today, Bo loves the variety in her role and how her diverse career informs her decision-making. She understands how her choices impact different functions and is passionate about discovering and promoting talent by focusing on transferable skills. Bo’s advice to women considering a career in operations? "Just do it. It's innovative and diverse. Find mentors who want you to succeed, and don't let fear hold you back. You learn the most when you're outside your comfort zone." At The Arnott's Group, we're proud to celebrate women like Bo who lead the way in our operations and pave the path for future generations in manufacturing. #Behindthebikkies #IWD

  • Introducing Annaclaire Klette in our latest Behind the Bikkies x International Women’s Day March edition. Annaclaire is The Arnott's Group Head of Manufacturing in New Zealand and leads our Avondale bakery.  "I champion on-site safety and quality. Every day, we're looking at how we're problem-solving to make sure we work towards better outcomes.”  "What really excites me is there are so many opportunities in this role to get out on the floor with the team where we grow together, learn together, and improve together. It's lovely running a small site. You know everybody, they know you. Those corridor conversations where you're asking about each other's kids - it's really personable."    Annaclaire's advice for women considering a career in operations? "Don't be your own barrier. If something scares me but an opportunity comes up, I step into those moments. Yes, it might make you nervous. Yes, you might have lots to learn, but know that you can, and you will."    #Behindthebikkies #IWD

Today, we hosted an inspiring panel discussion to mark International Women’s Day and celebrate some of the incredible women in operations across our industry. Our host, Madison Bergamin, National Business Manager Woolworths at The Arnott's Group, was joined by colleagues Annaclaire Klette, Head of Manufacturing NZ, Anna Lowndes, Head of R&D ANZ, and special guest Abby Phillips, NSW State Committee Co-Chair, NAWO. They shared their experiences working in operations, discussed the progress we’ve made as an industry, and provided advice on how we can all help gender equity march forward. A key takeaway from the discussion was the important role mentoring, sponsorship, and support networks play in embracing new opportunities and taking bold steps forward. A huge thank you to our panelists for their time and insights. Happy International Women's Day from all of us at The Arnott's Group! #IWD2025 #InternationalWomensDay Michelle Foley, Jenni Dill GAICD, Tim Morgan, Laura Backhouse, Jason T., Ishana Govender, Kristina Regan, Saira McIntosh, Vanessa Horton, Fiona Evans, Sophie Scott

This week, The Arnott's Group CEO, George Zoghbi, and the lead of our international business, Matt Palmer, met with the Australian High Commissioner to the UK, His Excellency Stephen Smith, to discuss our UK export plans and future opportunities in the market. Since launching Tim Tam biscuits in the UK one year ago, we've sold more than 3.8 million packets and are excited to continue bringing some of Australia’s favourite biscuits to the UK.

Biscuits are serious business in the UK, so we are proud to see that Australia’s iconic Tim Tams have well and truly won over British shoppers.     After successfully launching Tim Tams in the UK 12 months ago, Arnott’s have sold more than 3.8 million packets at British supermarkets. Tim Tams are available at Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Ocado.   It was great to meet with Arnott’s CEO, George Zoghbi, and Arnott’s Head of International Operations, Matt Palmer, to hear about their successes in the UK.   A great example of how, after the coming into effect of the Australia-UK Free Trade Agreement, we see more choice of iconic Australian products on British shelves.

Throughout March, and in celebration of International Women’s Day, we are bringing you a special edition of our Behind the Bikkies series spotlighting some of the incredible women who bring your favourite biscuits to life. Meet Anna Skowronek – a valued team member who recently retired from our Virginia bakery after nearly 35 years. Immigrating from Poland in the late 1980s with her husband and son, Anna began working with us in 1990. Throughout her career, Anna played a key role on the biscuit packing line, ensuring every package quickly moved through the final packing phase without any bottlenecks. Anna was also responsible for carefully boxing our freshly baked biscuits with precision before they left the bakery. Her attention to detail and commitment to quality have played an important role in delivering great-tasting products to our customers for decades. Anna is among the many long-serving Arnott's employees whose dedication has helped us create delicious moments for millions of consumers across Australia and beyond. #Behindthebikkies #IWD2025 #InternationalWomensDay

Today, we had the pleasure of hosting Member for Adelaide, Steve Georganas MP, Mayor of the City of West Torrens, Michael Coxon, and CEO of the City of West Torrens, Angelo Catinari, at our Marleston bakery. During their visit, they toured our production lines, sampled some of our delicious products, and met the dedicated team behind some of Australia’s most loved biscuits. Plant Manager Justin Woods showed the group our gluten-free bakery—a $44 million investment that has expanded our site’s capacity and introduced new gluten-free production capabilities. Our guests also tasted freshly baked Jatz Gluten Free Crackers before exploring our chocolate manufacturing facility, which produces 9.5 million kilograms of chocolate annually for distribution across our network. For 63 years, our Marleston bakery has been a proud part of South Australia’s manufacturing industry, producing iconic biscuits like Wagon Wheels, TeeVee Snacks, Mint Slice, and more. We remain committed to local manufacturing and continuing to produce Australia’s favourite Arnott’s biscuits locally. Jenny Snadden, Dale Tarr
