We recently had the pleasure of hosting a group of university students from ISGP at SOP for a truly impactful field visit. 🙌🏻 They spent the day exploring our initiatives, participating in a case study, and rolling up their sleeves to volunteer across our key areas - the People’s Market, Furniture Store, Warehouse, and Air Garden. It was inspiring to see their energy and eagerness to learn while making a difference. Thank you, ISGP students, for joining us in our mission to serve and support our community! 💙

Our Airgarden is thriving, and we’re excited to share another successful harvest! 💙 From seed to harvest, this innovative system allows us to cultivate healthy food sustainably, making a real impact in our community. A huge thank you to AIR - Architectuur Instituut Rotterdam .garden for making this possible! Here’s to more fresh harvests and nourishing meals ahead! 🙌

Our actions today shape tomorrow's children. 💙 SOP is here to ensure families have what they need to thrive - whether it’s groceries for tonight’s dinner or lunches for tomorrow. Seeing children’s joy and families’ relief reminds us why we’re here. But we know there’s so much more to do. It is only through the extraordinary generosity of our donors, the hard work and commitment of our advisors and volunteers, and the support of community leaders and other not-for-profits that we are able to meet the needs of the most vulnerable communities. We thank you for making this possible.

At the People’s Market, it’s more than just food - it’s about community, care, and connection. This initiative has and will continue to allow recipients to collect essential non-perishable groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables, frozen meals and household items, that they need, yet cannot afford, completely free of charge. ㅤ We operate on three principles: ㅤ 1. Take what you need with our Honesty Policy 2. Receive shopping assistance from our dedicated SOP volunteers 3. Engage in meaningful conversations to offer additional support. ㅤ For those looking to support SOP, we are always looking for non-perishable food donations. Feel free to reach out, or drop off your items to The People’s Market or through our donation boxes which can be found at your local Coles and Woolworths grocery stores. ㅤ Mermaid Beach: Open Monday to Friday. Kingston: Open Tuesday to Thursday.

What an incredible day at the Usher World Challenge Surf Comp at Snapper Rocks! Legends Rabbit and Theo hosted a phenomenal event featuring the world’s top surfers, all while giving back to the community. Thanks to their efforts, Serving Our People received a $5,000 donation to continue helping those in need 💙

It's always a great day at Southport Bunnings with our sausage sizzle fundraiser! 💙 Come down, grab a sausage sizzle and a cold drink, and help us raise funds to continue serving those in need in our community. Every bite makes a difference. Thank you to everyone stopping by and showing their support. Your contribution helps us reach more families.

We are so grateful for the generous support from Hismile and @alextomic1, who have donated toothpaste and toothbrushes to our People’s Market. These essentials will make a huge difference to families in need, helping them maintain oral wellbeing during challenging times. On 21 March, @newwaveaccountants hosted a fundraising padel tennis day in support of Serving Our People’s humanitarian initiatives. 🙌🏻 It was a fantastic day filled with friendly competition and community spirit, all for a great cause. Your support helps us continue providing food, essentials, and care to those who need it most.
