We’re excited to announce we've backed Differential Bio, co-leading their €2M Pre-Seed round alongside Ananda Impact Ventures this past December. Because the real bottleneck in bio isn’t discovery—it’s scale. Fermentation is the core engine of biomanufacturing—powering everything from food to materials to medicine—but it’s empirical, fragile, and expensive. Differential is rewriting this paradigm. By combining systems biology, high-throughput experimentation, and next-gen AI, they’re building an adaptive, in silico foundation model of microbial life—a digital twin that simulates gene expression, cellular behavior, and process outcomes at scale.
