I’ve had the pleasure of spending the majority of this last week with new graduates across different industries, and year on year they seem to be raising the bar. I was struck by their curiosity, the way they challenged ideas and asked bold questions. Their willingness to be vulnerable, share openly, and lean into learning stood out. Ever had that little voice in your head that stops you from speaking up or taking a risk? You’re not alone. Our wonderful facilitator Tracey Ward shares that the negative self-talk many of us experience can be a major roadblock in leadership and career progression. But here’s the trick: Give it a name. Identify it. Write down what it says for two weeks. Then, ask yourself, would you accept a friend or colleague speaking to you this way? If the answer is no, start shutting it down. Challenge it. Talk back to it. It may not disappear, but you’ll stop letting it hold you back. Let’s shift the narrative. What strategies have helped you overcome self-doubt?
