  • Kicking off 2025 with our fantastic GP Masterclass! 👏 Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming GPs from across Melbourne to our Foundations of Fertility Masterclass at the beautiful Savoy Hotel. Hosted by Melbourne IVF’s expert panel of fertility specialists, the event provided in-depth insights into the latest advancements and best practices in reproductive health. Our interactive workshops covered key fertility topics: 🔹 Dr Rashi Kalra explored the role of AMH in fertility 🔹 Dr Daniel Lantsberg discussed the benefits of genetic carrier screening 🔹 Dr Violet Kieu shared practical strategies to optimise fertility in general practice. A standout session featured A/Prof Kate Stern, Head of Fertility Preservation, who discussed how elective egg freezing is empowering more people to take control of their future fertility. She was joined by Melbourne IVF’s Director of ART, John Stevens, for an insightful panel discussion on the latest scientific innovations in egg freezing.     Over the past few months, Melbourne IVF has proudly hosted two highly successful GP Education Masterclasses—empowering GPs and referrers with the latest insights in fertility care. 📚 👩⚕️ West Masterclass - West Waters Hotel Caroline Springs Chaired by Dr Joseph Sgroi, we welcomed GPs from across Melbourne’s West. Our expert panel—Dr Violet Kieu, Dr Kokum Jayasinghe, and Dr Myuran Ponnam-Palam—led interactive workshops on PCOS and fertility, menstrual disorders and genetics. 👨⚕️ East Masterclass - Hotel Chadstone A/Prof Jim Tsaltas chaired our East Masterclass, joined by Dr Melissa Cameron, Dr Rashi Kalra, and Dr Yousif Alyousif. GPs engaged in sessions exploring endometriosis and fertility, recurrent miscarriage management and optimising fertility in general practice. Across both Masterclasses, our expert panel highlighted the latest advancements in elective egg freezing, and fertility care for LGBTQIA+ families. Our fertility services, IVF laboratory and day hospital will relocate to a custom-built precinct just 400 metres away at 36 Wellington Street, Collingwood. This move marks a significant milestone in our 35-year journey. Evolving from a team of 7 doctors, 3 nurses, 6 scientists, and 1 administrator sharing a single suite, we’ve grown into a community of over 300, including 20 of Victoria’s leading fertility specialists, all working together at Melbourne IVF.
