Towns, properties and livelihoods across outback Queensland have been destroyed, with many residents forced to evacuate, amid the destructive Western Queensland flooding event.   Our major community support partner, GIVIT, is working in partnership with the Queensland Government, local councils and recovery organisations to help people impacted by the recent Western Queensland Floods to get the essential goods and services they need. Whilst this event in still unfolding, they have launched an appeal. Please visit https://lnkd.in/gnNqQHgS to provide your support.

  • 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 – 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐉𝐢𝐱𝐢𝐞 The Queensland Resources Council and Women in Mining and Resources Queensland (WIMARQ) recently celebrated the Resources Awards for Women in Brisbane. This annual event is an opportunity to shine the spotlight on the amazing women and diversity champions within our industry. Their stories, including overcoming various challenges and adversity, are both inspiring and demonstrate the value of leadership, inclusion and mentorship.   Once again, Golding was the proud sponsor of the Exceptional Female Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy (QMEA) Student Award. The QMEA deliver important programs that support school students into resource sector pathways, including science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) industries. We congratulate this year’s Award recipient, Jixie Navarro from Moranbah State High School. Jixie’s commitment to her studies and enthusiasm for a successful career in the resources sector is truly commendable. Jixie has the potential to make an important contribution to our industry into the future, and we look forward to watching her career grow.   Congratulations to all finalists and winners on the day. Their important personal contributions in leading and advocating for a more diverse and equitable industry, are very much valued by Golding. #QRC #WIMARQ #womeninresources #Golding

  • Collaboration: a key driver of success Golding is proud to announce that together with the Toowoomba Regional Council and Georgiou, we have recently been awarded the prestigious Queensland Major Contractors Association (QMCA) Innovation and Excellence Awards - Ian Harrington Collaboration Award (2024) for our work on The Toowoomba Regional Council 2022 Flood Recovery Program (see further details on the project below).   Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. In our industry, success is not just about delivering quality projects—it’s about working closely with our clients, partners, and teams to achieve shared goals. Over our history, our long-standing relationships with key clients have been instrumental in delivering innovative solutions, overcoming challenges, and ensuring the continued success of our projects. This award is a testament to our teams living our values.    Thank you to our teams, clients, and partners. As we celebrate this achievement, we remain committed to strengthening our partnerships and delivering value for our clients, now and into the future.          The Project:   The Toowoomba Regional Council 2022 Flood Recovery Program, a $300M initiative funded through DRFA, successfully restored flood related damage to over 1,500 roads and 2,500km of road network in just 14 months.    The joint effort between Toowoomba Regional Council, Golding Contractors, Georgiou Group, and five local consultancies, delivered the project with a 20% cost saving, exceeded local spending targets, and provided extensive upskilling opportunities.    With a strong collaborative framework, innovative materials, and transparent processes, the project set a new benchmark for disaster recovery, benefiting both infrastructure resilience and the local economy.

Since 2019, Golding has been a proud corporate partner of GIVIT. Through GIVIT Together, we're rallying our incredible network of Golding employees and stakeholders to lighten the load for someone doing it tough in their community; and our friends in North and Far North Queensland are doing it tough right now.   GIVIT is partnering with the Queensland Government to manage public and corporate offers of donations of money, goods, services and volunteers for recovery from the floods impacting North and Far North Queensland.   Importantly, 100% of publicly donated money received by GIVIT will be used to purchase what’s needed by the people and communities impacted. GIVIT purchases from local providers to support the local economy as it recovers.   To see what is needed or to donate, please visit https://lnkd.in/gQWZT_MX GIVIT.org.au #makingadifference #partners #ourcommunities

Christmas… no better time to GIVIT! At Golding, we pride ourselves on supporting the local communities in which we work and are committed to making a meaningful difference where it matters most.   This commitment brings not only immense opportunity but also the challenge of ensuring our support meets genuine needs. It's a delicate balance: how do we target our support to the right people at the right time? This is where our partnership with GIVIT.org.au can help.   GIVIT is a not-for-profit organisation that has modernised how donations are distributed across Australia. Established in 2009, GIVIT connects generous donors with individuals and communities in need, ensuring that every donation serves a specific purpose. The organisation operates as a digital platform (givit.org.au) where registered charities, schools, and community groups can request exactly what their clients require.   From everyday essentials like clothing, furniture, and food to more unique needs such as laptops for education or equipment for starting a small business, GIVIT provides a platform and service that matches requests from vulnerable individuals and charities with those willing to give, which also eliminates waste.   The community benefit and value GIVIT provide lies in its targeted approach. As a company, we recognise that generic solutions rarely address complex, localised challenges. A one-size-fits-all approach to community support risks oversupplying in one area while leaving gaps in another.   We encourage everyone—employees, partners, and stakeholders—to explore how they can contribute through GIVIT. Whether it's donating pre-loved items, funding specific requests, or volunteering, your support makes a difference.   Together, through purposeful partnerships like GIVIT, we can continue to add value where it truly counts: in the lives of those who need it most.   For more information or to explore how you can contribute, visit www.givit.org.au

Today, we commemorate an incredible milestone—30 years of NRW. As we reflect on this remarkable journey, one thing remains clear: our people are the driving force behind our success. From our beginnings as a small mining contractor in Kalgoorlie in 1994, to becoming an international group of businesses employing 8,500 talented individuals, our journey has been shaped by hard work, teamwork and trust. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to NRW’s success. Together, we have built something truly special. As we look to the future, we remain committed to excellence and innovation as we continue this journey together. Here’s to the next chapter of NRW’s story. Following on from our post earlier this year regarding the Golding SWC Acquisition (see link below), we are thrilled to advise that we have signed a Mining Services Agreement (MSA) with Stanmore SMC Pty Ltd (Stanmore) at the South Walker Creek Mine (SWC) in Central Queensland. Commencing in January 2026, to extend for a further 5-year term, the MSA has a total value of approximately $1.6B. See the ASX announcement for further details.   We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with Stanmore Coal at South Walker Creek.
