Blue Green Infrastructure (BGI) plays a crucial role in sustainable urban development, offering a strategic blend of natural and engineered systems. However, adoption is often hindered by cost perceptions, asset management complexity, and uncertainty around long-term performance.  Join us at our upcoming Accredited Technical Masterclass, where we’ll explore how we can best implement BGI solutions and overcome these common challenges to establish long-term value. Don’t miss the chance to earn internationally accredited continuing education units from International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Complete the short quiz at the end of the masterclass to be eligible to earn the credits that will enhance your professional credentials.  Click here to register! 👇 https://lnkd.in/ewGWV4W8 We look forward to your attendance. Presented by Justine Bennett and Sarah Andrew, and facilitated by Scott Torrance OALA, CSLA

We're thrilled to be lighting up the future with IKEA Australia.   This week, we celebrated our collaboration on the solar PV and battery project at the IKEA Distribution Centre at Marsden Park in Sydney, alongside Ingka Group Global CSO, Karen Pflug and IKEA Australia CEO and CSO, Mirja Viinanen. Our team provided project management and technical services for this innovative system, which is nearing completion. Once operational, it will generate up to 70% of the 100% renewable energy needed for the around the clock operations onsite for IKEA, bringing them closer to their sustainability goals.   It's an exciting time to be part of the journey for IKEA towards a better planet and our commitment to powering a renewable energy future.   Scott Levy, Thomas Griffin, Ian Dixon, Gorka Peral, Smart Commercial Solar #PowerOfCommitment #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy

We are pleased to be working with Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne to ensure their Wellington sanctuary remains predator-free for years to come. Zealandia's innovative fence, one of the first of its kind, has been a cornerstone in protecting the sanctuary's unique ecosystem for the past 25 years. Their goal is to replace the fence without compromising the hard-earned biosecurity of the sanctuary. Our team is dedicated to finding a solution that prevents any potential breaches during construction, ensuring the safety of the wildlife within. In addition to constructing the new fence, the team, including Amy Sutherland, Amy Williams, Beverley Curley, Will Conibear and Ben Dowers, are also enhancing the foundation design to maintain its integrity and height, which is crucial for keeping predators out. This project underscores our commitment to sustainable and innovative engineering solutions that support environmental conservation. It’s great to be continuing our work with Zealandia on this project, says Justine Jones CSci, C.WEM, Technical Director and Zealandia Relationship Lead. "Working with the team early in the design process to address financial constraints without impacting the programme was instrumental in achieving such a great result. Together with Zealandia, we are paving the way for a safer and more secure future for Wellington's precious wildlife."

🔎 REVEALED: What's driving global water utilities to embrace smart metering? Our survey with SWAN - The Smart Water Networks Forum and The Water Research Foundation (WRF) uncovered the top three investment drivers across utilities in 22 countries: 1️. Enhanced customer service 2️. Increased billable revenue 3️. Strengthened water security Surprisingly, only half have already begun implementation. Utilities cited three top considerations for advanced metering infrastructure (AMI/AMR) and automated meter reading (AMR): 💧 Cybersecurity vulnerabilities 💧 Technology integration complexities 💧 Financial risk management At GHD, we're partnering with utilities to overcome these obstacles through our integrated water-digital-advisory approach that maximises AMI/AMR investments. Get the complete insights 👉 https://lnkd.in/eV4Wn-ED - Thank you to Coliban Water for the data visuals. COMING MAY 2025: We're leveraging this data to inform the development of a global Smart Metering Playbook in collaboration with global utility and industry representatives. Watch out for this comprehensive guide to AMI/AMR implementation. We'd love to meet you at the SWAN Global Conference! Register here 👉 https://lnkd.in/dVp-tN5q #FutureofWater #AMI #PowerofCommitment

Indigenous communities have been water stewards for millennia. Their deep understanding of water cycles and sustainable management practices offers wisdom our modern world needs. This #WorldWaterDay, we're recognising Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) which combines qualitative, quantitative and spiritual knowledge with the same rigor as western science. This approach gives us insights about rivers, lakes and watersheds that complement modern science while integrating centuries of spiritual/cultural philosophies related to both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.💧 Learn more about our commitment to respecting nature and nurturing communities 👉 https://lnkd.in/gTJ5xjmj What TEK do you think we should incorporate into modern solutions?
