Let us (literally) take you behind the scenes⚡🌍 Our second film in the World Energy Council's Humanising Energy series with content produced for us by BBC StoryWorks, explores the vast and interconnected energy ecosystem, showing how decisions made by individuals and companies impact the future of energy. 🏝️ We chose to film Tracey Granger, Head of Data at Energy Exemplar, on Mersea Island, UK, to highlight the interconnectedness of the energy world. From her home, she sees wind turbines, decommissioned power plants, and pylons - symbols of the energy systems that impact us all. 🛶 Her rowing on the island’s estuary is a powerful metaphor for navigating the complexities of energy decisions, much like the delicate balance of our energy landscape. 💡 In Dublin, we filmed Brian Larkin at ElectroRoute's office to highlight the crucial role of traders in energy decision-making. We wanted to capture the fast-paced nature of trading and show how Brian and his team use PLEXOS to make decisions that directly impact energy prices and the energy transition. 🚲 But it wasn’t just about the numbers - Brian's personal approach also stood out. He cycled to work, used a reusable coffee mug, and explained complex concepts on a whiteboard in simple terms, making the technical side of trading more accessible.
