Have you ever wanted to see 575 forest carbon boundaries on a map? Today we are launching a public Felt map with 575 forest carbon project boundaries across the world, initially made available by Elias (Renoster) et al. These boundaries have also been uploaded to a Source Coop (Radiant Earth) repository in a standardised schema for anyone to use in your own analysis workflows - all inspired by fiboa after a great week spent with Chris, Matthias, Ivor, Michelle, Jennifer, and many others. We see the lack of standardisation of these formats as one of the biggest bottlenecks for large scale analysis with nature datasets. At Cecil, getting access to these files is a constant challenge, with customers bringing us shp, geopackages, kml, or worse - iykyk. Databases like this directly benefit our internal work at Cecil, but we are determined for these types of initiatives to raise the tide across the industry. WILDLABS has just returned from London for a great day of impactful discussions on the future of #conservationtech at the Nature Tech Unconference, organised by Nature Tech Collective and The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) 🗣️ Adrien Pajot and Henry Rees joined Amy Rosenthal from Planet and Tom Walker from Cecil in an Unconference session to discuss advancing interoperable data streams for #naturetech. During the event, panelists and attendees discussed agreeing upon paradigms for responsible and automated data integration, as well as principles and standards for transparency, reproducibility, and objectivity. 🍻We partnered with Nature Tech Collective to continue the important conversations held during the Unconference at happy hour, providing a space for continued conversation, collaboration, and unwinding. The turnout was phenomenal, and we can’t wait for our summer UK meetup in Cambridge!

Chloris Geospatial's Aboveground Biomass (AGB) datasets are increasingly being recognised as an excellent option for high-fidelity annual biomass monitoring and as a stocking index for Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation (ARR) projects—particularly for Verra's VM0047 methodology. Cecil's Python SDK provides streamlined access to Chloris's AGB datasets through an API and analytical database.
