Federal, state and local government representatives jointly cut the ribbon to open Adeney Private Hospital. A huge thank you to (from l-r) Michelle Ananda-Rajah MP - Federal Member for Higgins, Monique Ryan - Federal Member for Kooyong, Senator Anne Ruston - Shadow Minister for Health and Aged Care, Jess Wilson MP - State MP for Kew, Councillor Felicity Sinfield - representing the City of Boroondara and Amelia Hamer - Liberal candidate for Kooyong. Groundbreaking agreements with participating health funds, including Medibank, mean that eligible members will not be charged out-of-pocket costs for surgeons, theatres, anaesthetists, imaging, pathology, medical infusions and for prescribed PBS pharmaceuticals, during their hospital stay.

This morning, Adeney Private Hospital officially opened its doors, marking a historic milestone as Australia’s first private hospital to offer eligible customers Medibank’s No Gap program for all services covered by their policy. Located in the Melbourne suburb of Kew, this new hospital aims to provide significant financial relief to eligible customers by ensuring no additional expenses for a broad range of medical services including surgeries, anaesthesia, imaging, pathology, medical infusions and prescribed PBS pharmaceuticals. Adeney Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art 60-bed facility with five operating theatres. The $100 million hospital development was a collaborative project between a group of medical professionals and Medibank’s health service delivery company, Amplar Health. Developed by Centuria Healthcare, the hospital features a medical Infusion Centre, three Robotic-Assisted Surgical Systems, and a Wellness Centre and Gym.
