Matthew Casey, Director of Corporate Risk, WHS, Emergency Management and Wellbeing at Eastern Health, has spent 27 years honing his expertise across corporate risk management, work health and safety, staff well-being, and emergency management. “My dad was a significant influence on me; he always said that safety would become an essential focus, one that would evolve and diversify. He was right. “Today, our primary focus is addressing occupational violence and aggression, as well as fostering psychological health.” Matthew and his team are currently working on initiatives that enhance the safety of staff, not just in terms of physical protection, but also through projects dedicated to supporting mental health and psychological well-being.
