Another strong week for the UK at Abu Dhabi Global Health Week! Our Healthcare UK delegation brought together leading institutions including Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and North Bristol NHS Trust — all sharing insights across panels on next-generation care, health innovation, AI in healthcare, and longevity. We were also delighted to join a networking reception hosted by Deputy Ambassador Jonathan Knight LVO FRAeS VR. Congratulations to Intelligent Growth Solutions (IGS) whose first major consignment of vertical farm growth trays have left Dundee for Dubai where they will used in the first phase of the 200-tower GigaFarm in Dubai's Food Tech Valley. UK Minister for Exports Gareth Thomas, said: “Following the Business and Trade Secretary’s visit to the GigaFarm site in Dubai last year, it’s particularly exciting to see the next phase of IGS’ world leading vertical farming technology. The Bloomington Academy Celebrates 10 Years of Educational Excellence with British Ambassador’s Visit... The Bloomington Academy, Ajman, marked its 10th anniversary with a grand celebration on March 5, 2025, graced by the presence of His Excellency Mr. Edward Hobart, British Ambassador to the UAE. The event, a testament to the school’s commitment to British education, brought together founding families, North Point Education (NPE) leadership, students, parents, and teachers. His Excellency Mr. Edward Hobart CMG and Mr. Lanson Lazar, Chairman of NPE, commenced the celebration by planting a sapling and unveiling the plaque, followed by a school tour featuring the Science innovative projects, a Jane Austen skit, a musical performance, demonstrations of Model United Nations and TEDx.
