What an energizing and rewarding two days it’s been at Sultan Qaboos University   We’ve just wrapped up the in-person workshop on “Teaching Entrepreneurship: Empowering Educators to Instill an Entrepreneurial Mindset in the Next Generation of Graduates”.   The program was organized for SQU’s academics by CLICKS, in collaboration with our partner TUM International GmbH- a subsidiary of the Technical University of Munich (Germany).   Throughout the two days, participants explored how to embed entrepreneurial thinking into their curricula, apply experiential and project-based strategies, and design assessments that capture creativity, innovation, and real-world problem-solving. Today, our CEO Dr. Narimane Hadj-Hamou delivered during day two of the QS Middle East Summit 2025 a workshop titled “Building an Employability-Driven Ecosystem in Higher Education: A Holistic Approach to Employability in HE.”   The session explored how institutions can embed employability at every level—through strong leadership, aligned policies, empowered faculty, and strategic industry partnerships. Participants engaged in critical dialogue on integrating employability into curriculum, assessment, and the broader student experience, emphasizing the importance of a connected ecosystem to prepare future-ready graduates.   Dr. Narimane also held insightful discussions with esteemed colleague around collaboration as well as exchanges with H.E. CLICKS participated in the QS Middle East Summit 2025, held under the theme “Society 5.0: Higher Education and Skills for a Human-Centered Future.”   The Center was represented by its CEO, Dr. Narimane Hadj-Hamou, who took part in the panel discussion “ “Human-Centered Learning in a Tech-Driven World,” moderated by Bulent Yilmaz, Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture, alongside: • Prof. Joe Sweeney, Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor Education • Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor, Ajman University • Haifa Al Kaylani OBE, President and Founder, Arab International Women’s Forum   During her session, she shared following reflections: The true power of AI lies in amplifying the human role in learning. The real opportunity isn’t automation—it’s augmentation. AI should free up time for educators to mentor more, connect more, and build the kinds of relationships that shape deep, lasting student growth. Human-centered design is what determines learning impact. Learning outcomes are shaped by how we structure tasks and frame interactions. It's thoughtful, intentional design—not the tools alone—that nurtures critical thinking, empathy, and creativity. Purposeful use of AI can enhance student agency and reflection. Tools like AI-enabled journals, Socratic bots, and collaborative platforms can deepen metacognition and inquiry—but only when used to empower students to think, reflect, and engage meaningfully. Institutional innovation must be grounded in values, not hype.
