Ich hatte heute die Ehre, auf Einladung des Botschafters der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, Andreas Peschke, an einem Empfang in der Botschaft in Pretoria teilzunehmen. Anlässlich des Besuchs einer Delegation des Niedersächsischen Landtages unter der Leitung von Landtagspräsidentin Hanna Naber. Als gebürtiger Niedersachse und Geschäftsführer der Stiebel Eltron South Africa PTY Ltd. war es für mich ein besonderer Moment, die Verbindung zwischen Niedersachsen und Südafrika in diesem Rahmen zu erleben. Stiebel Eltron hat seinen Hauptsitz in Holzminden, Niedersachsen – und wir leisten im südliichen Afrika unseren Beitrag zur globalen Energiewende mit energieeffizienten Wärmepumpen und modernen Warmwasserlösungen, die dabei helfen, Energie zu sparen und CO₂-Emissionen zu reduzieren. Und ja – auch ich kann (gelegentlich) im Anzug auftreten. Ein herzlicher Dank an Botschafter Andreas Peschke und sein Team für die Einladung und die wertschätzende Atmosphäre sowie an die Delegation für den inspirierenden Austausch. Solche Begegnungen zeigen, wie stark gelebte Partnerschaften wirken – über Kontinente hinweg. ———————————————————- Today, I had the honour of attending a reception at the German Embassy in Pretoria, hosted by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Andreas Peschke. The occasion was the visit of a delegation from the State Parliament of Lower Saxony, led by its President, Hanna Naber. As a native of Lower Saxony and Managing Director of Stiebel Eltron South Africa PTY Ltd., it was a proud moment to witness the close ties between my home region and South Africa. Stiebel Eltron, headquartered in Holzminden, Lower Saxony, contributes to the global energy transition — and from South Africa, we play our part with energy-efficient heat pumps and modern hot water solutions that help reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions. And yes – even I can wear a suit once in a while. 😉 Many thanks to Ambassador Andreas Peschke and his team for the warm welcome, and to the delegation for the inspiring exchange.
