MTN Group Fintech is excited to announce the #appointment of Nikiwe Tanga as our new Chief Legal Officer, effective April 1, 2025. With over 22 years of experience, Nikiwe brings a wealth of legal and regulatory expertise across various markets. Since joining MTN Group in 2003, she has made significant contributions, including establishing the legal function in the Middle East and supporting the successful listing of MTN Nigeria on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Her recent efforts at Group Fintech have been vital in shaping the legal framework for our fintech strategy across 14 markets. Serigne Dioum, CEO of MTN Group Fintech, highlights Nikiwe's extensive knowledge and commitment to excellence, stating her leadership will be crucial as we drive the growth of our fintech operations across Africa. Nikiwe is an Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, holds an LLB from the University of Fort Hare, and earned her MBA from Henley Business School (Africa) in 2024, in addition to completing several executive leadership programs. We are confident she will enhance our governance framework and support our sustainable expansion.
