[Watch] 🌍 Spotlight on Investment: Soufflet Malt SA Brings R2 Billion Project to Gauteng 🌾 At the inaugural #GautengInvestmentConference, we proudly announced a landmark investment from French multinational Soufflet Malt SA—a R2 billion commitment toward building a world-class malt production facility in Sedibeng, near the HEINEKEN Beverages SA brewery. This investment is a powerful endorsement of Gauteng’s position as a gateway to Africa and a premier destination for strategic, job-creating foreign direct investment. The facility, set to open in 2027, will produce 100,000 tons of malt annually, creating 50–60 direct jobs and sourcing 125,000 tons of local produce—a major boost for agriculture, SMEs, and sustainable value chains. Soufflet’s decision to invest here is no accident. With: ✅ A dynamic economy contributing over 35% to South Africa’s GDP ✅ Proactive, investor-friendly policies ✅ A strong agro-processing framework and local empowerment focus Gauteng is where commercial success meets social impact. As we zoom in on key pledges from the Conference, Soufflet represents the kind of high-impact, partnership-driven development we are working to scale across all five of Gauteng’s corridors. 📣 To global investors: Gauteng is open for business. Let’s build a prosperous, inclusive future—together.
