A recent study by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) reveals that burnout among travel nurses is on the rise, potentially reducing the workforce by 9% in the next year. With the ongoing healthcare worker shortage, this creates a major challenge for facilities relying on travel nursing contracts. SIA’s survey of over 500 travel nurses points to workplace culture as a key factor in preventing burnout. Surprisingly, respect – not just workload – plays a significant role in nurse well-being.
