Congratulations to Jean School BSN students Sara Doucet ’25 and Lauren Lejano ’25 who were selected to attend the AACN 2025 Student Policy Summit last weekend in Washington DC. Sara and Lauren each learned fascinating information regarding the federal policy process and nursing’s role in professional advocacy. Dean Diane Uzarski also accompanied them to Capitol Hill where they had meetings with NH legislators and staffs. They returned home and plan to share their experience with fellow nursing students! 📣 NEWS: Bedford Falls Foundation-DAF supports Saint Anselm nursing with $1.8M donation. We are thrilled to announce that the Jean School of Nursing & Health Sciences will be getting an extra boost of support thanks to a generous donation from the Bedford Falls Foundation-DAF! 🙏 The foundation has donated $1.8M to Saint Anselm College, which will go towards scholarships, staffing resources, and more for the Jean School. The Bedford Falls Foundation was founded by philanthropists Bill Conway Jr. and his late wife, Joanne Barkett Conway, to remove barriers to a high-quality nursing education and address the critical nursing workforce shortage. “We are so grateful for the support of the Bedford Falls Foundation as we strive to increase the access to Anselm Nursing and position all students for academic success,” said Dean Diane M. Uzarski DNP, MPH, RN. “We are building on our rich legacy of healthcare education excellence and quality nursing practice.” Read more about how the money will be used: https://lnkd.in/ex6A_RwU 📸: Bill Conway Jr.

📣 NEWS: Nursing Students Blessed Before First Clinical These talented students from the Nursing Class of 2027 are ready for their first clinical experiences! 🙏 The Blessing of the Hands ceremony is one of our favorite traditions and an important step in the journey of a Saint A's nursing student. Student Nursing Association president Maria Dagher gave a reflection during the event, saying “Always remember, you are part of a team and your success is built upon supporting and uplifting one another. No one becomes a nurse alone, and it’s the strength of the community that helps us grow.” Read all of their names and see a BIG photo gallery in this story: https://lnkd.in/e4tQg4nP Diane M. 📣 Exciting news — we are thrilled to announce our newest graduate program: An online Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Innovation (MSN) and its associated certificate! “This will be a game-changer in contemporary nursing leadership education,” said Diane M. Uzarski DNP, MPH, RN, Dean of the Jean School. The MSN will provide leadership skills and empower nurses with confidence and ingenuity to make a difference for patients and providers. The focus on innovation takes it to the next level, preparing nurses to harness data and evidence, cultivate ideas, and implement creative solutions. 🩺 The new degree program further positions the Jean School as the premiere nursing institution in the region as we prepare to open the state-of-the-art Grappone Hall in the fall. It is the college’s fourth master’s program. The MSN and corresponding PMC is open to all qualified nurses and will also begin in the fall of 2025.
