Professor Jian Huang's VisualizAI wants to transform health care by using AI technology to provide strategic support for the insurance claims process. A seed investment from UTRF will enable the AI start-up to advance its pilot trials, validate its technology, and demonstrate its impact to health care providers. “VisualizAI is a great example of how UT-driven research can lead to real-world solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy and outcomes in critical industries like health care,” University of Tennessee System President Randy Boyd said. A unique collaboration between Tickle College of Engineering at the University of Tennessee, the University of Tennessee College of Arts & Sciences, and IACMI – The Composites Institute is helping to train the next generation of innovators in casting and forging! Through the METAL casting bootcamp, college students and professionals are getting a hands-on introduction to metallurgy and learning advanced manufacturing techniques and valuable skills that are crucial to a broad range of industries. “The METAL bootcamp reflects UT’s steadfast commitment to combining the strengths of our nationally renowned research and unique workforce training programs to meet regional and national needs,” said Deb Crawford, vice chancellor for research, innovation and economic development.
