🔥 Exciting news! 🔥 Our latest paper, “Conformational Effects in the Identification/Quantification of Ketohydroperoxides in the Oxidation of n-pentane,” has been selected as one of the 2025 HOT PCCP articles! 🎉 Being hand-picked by the editors and reviewers of Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics is a great honor, and it highlights the importance of our work in understanding key reactive intermediates in combustion and oxidation chemistry. A huge thanks to my co-authors such as Frédérique Battin-Leclerc Olivier Herbinet Guillaume Vanhove Luc-Sy Tran Majdi Hochlaf whose discussions, feedback, and support drive our research forward. 🙌 🔗 Read more: rsc.li/pccp-hot25 Institut de Physique de Rennes - UMR CNRS 6251 Université de Rennes LRGP I Laboratoire Réactions et Génie des Procédés #Science #CombustionChemistry #Ketohydroperoxides #Research Physical #RSCPhys

I’m excited to share our ✨latest publication✨ on photocages incorporated in dyad-based systems, where the leaving group plays a crucial role in boosting the energy transfer efficiency! This work beautifully combines spectroscopy and theory, showcasing the power of interdisciplinary research! 🔬 A huge shoutout to my amazing colleague Maximiliane Horz - this project wouldn’t have been possible without your collaboration and expertise! 🙌 🔗 Check out our work in PCCP Physical #RSCPhys: https://lnkd.in/gU9hnu79, published as part of the themed collection "Festschrift for Christel Marian." 📸 The picture shows me presenting this work at the PhotoIUPAC in Valencia last year, where I had the opportunity to engage with brilliant scientists from diverse fields - an inspiring experience! Stay tuned for more news on the field of photocages and energy-transfer systems! #Photocages #Energytransfer #Collaboration #Teamwork #Publication #Photochemistry #Spectroscopy #Theory

🧐 One key aspect of the COSY COST ACTION CA21101 network is to deal with new approaches to metal cluster-support interactions. What's happen if conical intersections are embedded in these interactions requiring a multi-reference description? In the paper from the PCCP collection 'Celebrating International Women’s day 2025: Women in physical chemistry', Physical #RSCPhys#RSCPhys, we apply the multi-reference (internally contracted) Rayleigh Schrödinger (second-order) perturbation (RS2C) method by Celani and Werner (https://lnkd.in/dc3gFvkp) to the Cu3-benzene case, encompassing Jahn-Teller effects, and correcting the typical overestimation of the dispersion contribution at second-order perturbation theory level through a simple scheme. The approach can be viewed as the extension of the coupled MP2 method by Pinotak and Hesselmann (https://lnkd.in/ddtyvKBi ) to a RS2C-based description.
