The Turkish Ministry of National #Defense has announced that the Sub-Cloud Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) BAHA, has successfully completed its inspection and acceptance procedures and has officially entered into the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces. Developed by HAVELSAN and inducted into the Turkish Armed Forces' inventory in 2024, BAHA marks a significant milestone through the journey of Digital Troops.

African Lion 2025 officially began in Tunisia on April 22. Over 2,000 troops will train in Tunisia, with more than 10,000 participants expected across all four host nations, including Ghana, Morocco, and Senegal. Tunisia partners with NATO allies and U.S. forces to strengthen joint readiness through combined arms exercises, airborne operations, and chemical threat response.

The Military Metaverse, a new book written by MS&T's Andy Fawkes and David Burden will be published by Routledge on 1st May. Andy has previously written about the #military metaverse for MS&T in 2020 and 2022 and both he and David have many years' experience conducting related research including for the UK's Dstl and wider NATO.

#Defence and #training support company MASS, has signed a contract with Hadean, a spatial computing #technology provider. The partnership will support the Joint Command and Staff Training programme for the UK MOD, UK Strategic Command, providing a simulated and immersive exercise design, preparation, delivery and analysis support capability for combined joint task force exercises.

Submissions are open through July 18, 2025, for the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Life-Threatening Situations Extended Reality Trainer Challenge, which offers $170,000 in total prizes. Both registration and solution submission are required by the deadline above.

Torch Technologies, Inc., a Huntsville-based #defense contractor, has repurposed its #military training tool to enhance healthcare education. The system, originally developed for THAAD missile #training, now powers Simvana, a mixed-reality platform used by the Huntsville Hospital System to train new nurses. #MR
