"From S-Parameters to Wideband Modulation Stimulus-Response for Sub-THz Component Testing" by JP Teyssier, Joel Dunsmore, Suren Singh, Nizar Messaoudi, Sam Kusano, and Johan Ericsson This paper proposes an extensive tour of the evolution over five decades of the Vector Network Analyzer. The stimulus-response essential concept has been pushed to ultra-wideband modulated test signals and up to sub-THz frequencies. Advanced and very important component test metrics such as modulation distortion are measured in a vector match corrected environment. It is really exciting is seeing how the latest network analyzer are opening new application for Keysight Quantum Solutions with independent 4-source control and 6 ns pulse control, the network analyzer is becoming a powerful tool for quantum circuit characterization. Last week Alessandro Alocco has presented at #INMMiC2025 the preliminary results of the TWPA characterization work conducted using the Keysight Quantum Control System (QCS).   For these measurements, the QCS's Direct Digital Synthesis was instrumental to: 1) Synchronously generate pump and counter-pump signals with a precise user-defined phase relationship between each other. 2) Phase-coherently acquire signal and idler components that are widespread across the amplifier bandwidth.   Congratulations to Alessandro Alocco and Emanuele Enrico for the great presentation!
