What started out as a six-month internship has now turned into the next chapter of Adam Dam’s journey here in Silicon Valley. Last week, we were in Colorado Springs with a Danish delegation to attend the world’s largest Space Symposium – a gathering of over 10,000 participants from across government, industry, defense, and academia. Denmark was well represented by companies, researchers, and public sector stakeholders. From our side, Science Attaché Allan Skårup Kristensen and Senior Advisor Morten Larsen were on the ground to represent Denmark and strengthen international ties within the space ecosystem. We also hosted Cosmic Cocktails, a networking event featuring two fantastic speakers: - Diana Jack from Blue Origin - Colonel Søren Andersen from the Royal Danish Air Force They shared perspectives on the geopolitical landscape and emerging tech shaping the future of space. One thing is clear – space is no longer just exploration. It’s infrastructure. It plays a vital role in climate monitoring, communications, security, and global resilience. AI, data trust, and collaboration across sectors are becoming essential to how we operate in orbit and beyond. Meet Luna Kirkeby Bateson, Innovation Associate in our Innovation Centre Denmark Silicon Valley team 🚀 As a Global Business Engineering student at DTU, Luna is passionate about turning complex technologies into something tangible for both businesses and policymakers. Luna has always been fascinated by space and the universe. With us, she not only works with projects related to space technologies but also spends time on a project looking into dual-use, which explores goods and technologies that can create value across both civilian and defense sectors. “What particularly fascinates me is how something like space technologies can benefit industries far beyond space itself - and how those industries, in turn, can contribute to space innovation.” We’re excited to have Luna on the team and look forward to seeing where this journey takes us! 👏
