  • Architectural Walls Are Not Furniture—They’re Construction! While AWPs may look, install, and reconfigure like furniture, they function as construction—tying into ceilings, floors, and perimeters. That means they require a construction-focused approach for planning, installation, and coordination with GCs. Key to success? Early and consistent communication! From site measurements and scheduling to door hardware and inspections, every detail matters. At Fellowes, we don’t just provide modular walls—we partner with you to navigate the process seamlessly, ensuring your project stays on track. Let's build something great together! #ArchitecturalWalls #ModularWalls #Construction #Fellowes

  • Looking for additional benefits of Modular Construction versus Conventional? How about the Tax Advantages? Would you prefer depreciation over 7.5 years versus traditional 39? Modular Walls can qualify for IRS Section 179 tax benefits if they meet the eligibility criteria for business equipment or leasehold improvements. Modular Walls can be considered Tangible Personal Property if they are moveable and not permanently affixed to the building structure. If they are installed in a leased or owned commercial space and enhance business operations, they may qualify as a "Leasehold Improvement" which is eligible for the tax deduction. The 2025 Deduction Limit is $1,250,000. What does this mean for your business? Your modular wall solution is eligible for a deduction of the full amount without paying the full amount this year. In fact, the amount you save in taxes could be greater than the first year of a lease. Please reach out to your Tax Advisor and our Fellowes Architectural Solutions team for more information! https://lnkd.in/dZpXXh2i #TaxSavings #IRS179 #Depreciation #ModularvsConventional

  • Beat them to the punch! For many, the punch list is just the final step before project completion—a checklist of last-minute fixes. But what if we approached it differently? Instead of waiting until the end, addressing issues throughout the installation process leads to faster closeouts, fewer delays, and a smoother handoff. 🔹 Early Issue Identification – Catching and resolving small details along the way prevents a long list of fixes at the finish line. 🔹 Streamlined Communication – Keeping all stakeholders aligned throughout the project ensures nothing falls through the cracks. 🔹 Faster Turnover – A proactive approach means fewer surprises, less waiting for replacement parts, and faster occupancy. Treat your punch process as a continuous quality check or ongoing process, not just a final checkpoint. By continuously reviewing progress and addressing details in real time, installations stay on track, reducing rework, minimizing wait time on replacement parts, and ensuring a seamless project closeout. How do you approach the punch list process to keep projects on track? #ArchitecturalSolutions #ModularWalls #ConstructionEfficiency #ProjectManagement #WorkplaceDesign #Fellowes #InstallationProcess #QualityControl #Punchlist

  • Space demands are taking on all types of new forms, especially over these past five years. Everything from up-sizing, to downsizing, to temp spaces, to home offices, and swing areas, the landscape for Architectural Wall products has expanded greatly. Natural disasters have added their own challenges to the mix. The need for pop-up offices, classrooms, and safe spaces comprised of temporary, semi-permanent, semi-private rooms within vast open areas are tragically becoming more and more common. How can we effectively serve communities during their most devastating seasons? How can we provide a small sense of normalcy, as people rebuild their schools, factories, businesses, and public service centers? Modular Architectural Walls now serve a deeper purpose as a viable product that can answer those temporary needs, and if planned properly, can be repurposed for permanent long-term structures. The value that Modular Architectural Walls provide: • Drywall replacement products: Comprised of 5/8” gypsum, providing the benefits of drywall • Modular: Allows for easy assembly and easy reconfigurations • Electrical: Accommodates electrical and data components to drop power where needed • Stands alone: Freestanding products, not requiring a structural ceiling to attach to • Long lifespan: Can be disassembled, relocated, and reinstalled in another temp space or permanent space • Environment friendly: Comprised of materials with high-level recycle content • Speed to occupancy: Bypass the extensive lead times of conventional construction • Sound investment: Depreciates like furniture, short ROI lifecycles, and available on various federal, state, local, and coop contracts The intangible, positive impact of these products include: ⁘ Clean Aesthetic: Looks finished, promoting a comfortable, calming, and inviting environments ⁘ Unspoken message: ‘Thoughtfulness’ went into creating this space #FellowesContractInteriors #ArchitecturalSolutions #ModularWalls #FasterBuildouts #WorkspaceDesign #FutureOfWork

  • Acoustics play a large role in our built environments. Here are some tips and recommendations when building out spaces to enhance your acoustical privacy: ✔️ Rectangular spaces diffuse sound better than square spaces ✔️ If there is glazing, the use of Laminated glass will achieve a few additional points of STC over Clear Tempered ✔️ Specify Swing Doors versus Sliding Doors ✔️ Use drop seals when available ✔️ Use acoustical ceiling tiles that offer good CAC or CSTC ratings ✔️ Batt insulation can be used above ceiling tiles or office walls ✔️ If the budget allows, build drywall up past the grid and tile to deck ✔️ Make sure sound does not transfer from the HVAC intake and outtakes ✔️ Incorporate Sound Masking ✔️ The use of soft materials help absorb sound and reduce reverberation For more on building spaces with better acoustics, check out this blog from our friends at Interior Architects: https://ow.ly/XcrP50VaARV #acousticaltips #buildbetter #acousticperformance
